  1. looks like a lemon party, yum [bbvideo=560,315]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn1BPgVpVrI[/bbvideo]
  2. If that's the case, then wtf is Happ in the minors? Doing whatever guys who aren't Theo's first first round pick do. I see. So you think Theo has a powerpoint on his laptop where he ranks all of his first round picks based on how long ago he made the pick? Do you think he values his 3rd round pick from 2015 more or less than his 2nd round pick from 2017? Does he have a rubric to keep all of this straight?
  3. I'd bet good money this useless turd is still as prominent as he is specifically because he was Theo and co.'s first first round pick. If that's the case, then wtf is Happ in the minors?
  4. This is approaching Dusty levels of incompetence.
  5. Huh, I know nothing about Robel Garcia. Is he a real prospect? I went on baseball-reference.com to look up his stats and there's this weird gap from 2013 to the present season. Seems too old to be considered a serious prospect, but he's raking at AA. I read something about him on a random site just a few days ago. I guess he was playing in Italy until recently.
  6. Co-sign. Win tomorrow. Dong the hell out of the AAA team. And we're sitting at 23-12 with an 11-game win streak when the Brewers bring their horsefeathers team into town. The only problem with this plan is it assumes tonight's Mets-Brewers game will have actually ended by then.

  8. I had a superfecta that I lost in similar fashion once. It happens more often than you would suspect.
  9. Yeah, but does anything change if we had Burnitz on the roster instead of Schwarber?
  10. Well, wouldn't best case be good Marmol? Because that slider is filth.
  11. He had a tight quad or hamstring yesterday (and that’s why he DH’d then and presumably today) guessing it was just precautionary to get him out since we were killing them. I assumed Joe DHed Byrant and put Schwarber in LF just to stick it to Backtobanks.
  12. I looked at LaStella's stats a few days ago, and he's doing this with a pretty absurdly low BABIP, if I remember correctly. .188, so yeah. I mean, obviously you discount the HR/FB rate given his career/stature, but everything is really impressive, given the sample size...walk rate is double the K rate, hard hit rate is triple the soft hit rate, etc. But...90 PAs. We know what he is. Good for him/the Angels...god knows they need it. But I'll take Descalso. I think maybe I'd prefer LaStella, but it definitely isn't something I'm losing sleep over. They are obviously comparable.
  13. The guy who has 7 home runs in 90 PAs after 10 in the previous 947? Sure? I don't think it's a hot take to say you'd rather have LaStella's April over Descalso's, but I remain pretty confident that we'll have the better player going forward. 14. i know it's splitting hairs, but an average player lasting 10+ seasons would qualify as a good career to me Hairsplitting is this board's MO.
  15. More evidence that Joe Maddon sucks: https://www.bleachernation.com/2019/04/28/wow-vets-came-to-joe-maddon-to-insist-that-david-bote-start-today/
  16. Speaking of dongsmiths, guess what Bellinger did with his lone AB so far today?
  17. Come for the juicy gossip, stay for the Slapshot reference and poignant statements on the fragility of life.
