    The question is when should you get relief from a divot in the fairway? It’s not black and white. Up until you see any grass growing in the divot? What stinks is that a player rakes a sand trap, which is a hazard, so the next person in it gets a good lie, but you can get terrible lies in the fairway. The rub of the green they say. I don’t think there’s really a question, you should always get relief from a fairway divot. It makes no sense why you shouldn’t. Just get the standard club length that doesn’t put you closer to the hole/improve the lie (going from rough to fairway). Treat a divot like a sprinkler head if the ball is in it. I think if you're in the fairway, you should get to do whatever the hell you want to the ball, so long as it doesn't put you closer to the hole, or change your approach angle. Reward good shots.

    I have had zero spare time for about two months now but I havent' given up on it. As soon as I can, I'll get back out there. I've been watching WAY too many youtube videos on swing mechanics and working to rehaul my swing at ranges when the sun peaks out, but we just got a foot of snow a few days ago so I guess its another slow-motion breakdown of Akshay Bhatia's swing for me.

    Even setting aside those who don’t think the Cubs should remotely care about payroll, yes they absolutely should have done that. Reasonable people can disagree! I guess we can reevaluate whether it was worth it in 2031. Every dollar in Bryce's account is a dollar not in PTR's account. No need to wait for 2031.

    Shot a 98 today and was pretty happy about it. Especially since I THINK I holed a shot from 120 yards out, but it bounced out with those blue foam things in the hole. Oh well. Played with my Dad and a rando. After an intro and chit chat we realized he was from the Chicago area in Wisconsin, and they both went to UW Oshkosh for college, and only a year apart. Had a bunch of mutual friends. Small world.

    Yeah, for someone to pass this off as little more than, "hey, what dude HASN'T done this" is repulsive. This guy abused his position of power to victimize someone else, and the people he worked for seemingly knew about it at least within short order, and did nothing but nudge him out the door on a path to get an even better job. That isn't what I was doing.

    Hell, in that other thread about a guy's dick being shown to women who don't care to see it (because I'm not being sarcastic about its frequency), someone defended him by unironically asking who hasn't done something similar. And we're talking about the BOSS of a guy that did this, and we don't even know if it ever got back to him! You only answered one part of my two part question.

    He COULD have done that. I'm 100% unsurprised that he didn't. Of COURSE it isn't nigh impossible. It's just totally unsurprising.

    I just don't understand why anyone cares about this story. This changes my opinion of the Cubs management over the last 10 years and Theo in particular not one iota.

    I think the best argument that Theo should have known this had happened was that a majority of guys have sent unwanted dick picks to women. That is based off of a sampling of sports-ancillary internet scandals and stand-up routines from females comedians. There is someone you work with, or someone next door to you, that has sent his dick pic to someone else without her consent. If this is the ugliest story to come out of the Theo camp, he should rush into the Dem primaries in 2024. Put him in the hall of fame twice. The man is a God-king and deserves our admiration.

    He was a supposed rising star in the organization that was allowed to leave to be an asst gm shortly after this thing happened, when they could have just elevated him to their own asst GM gig. It looks to me like they knew he was trouble and preferred to let him go. They also put no effort into bringing him back. Yuuuuuuuup. No idea why anyone would bother with trying to defend Theo at this point. His track record of horsefeathers is long and apparent. Yeah, he won them a WS, but he's also a typical dip horsefeathers corporate bro, too. I mean, Theo can clearly form thoughts. I'd describe him as a fairly sharp corporate bro, and typical in so far as he enjoys a frat house atmosphere. Sow frat house games, reap frat house prizes. What's disturbing to me is that these types of boy's club corporate set ups are so common, and not just in sports franchises. I'm not sure if its because these guys are fostering an atmosphere so that women will stay away, or that having set ups like these are required to attract the "talent" they are targetting, or some of both. In any case, men are largely pathetic children and they suck, and if you want to blame Theo for this guy sending his dick to a lady that jilted him, I guess I don't especially care.
