  1. I don't know if any of you all play best ball leagues. This year was my first doing any. Draftkings gave me a few entries for free with a promo they had, and the drafts were so amazingly weak that I decided to draft a batch of extras and see how they fared. I mostly have done really well, but when I go and check on the status of the teams, I don't understand how. For instance, in one of my leagues I'm currently in second. The roster has Dak, Burrow, and Minshew as my only QBs. The team also includes Golloday, Odell, and Marlon Mack. Waller, Hockenson, Gibson, Cook, Scantling, Diontae and Lockett were enough, somehow... In another league, where I'm in third, I had Kittle, McCaffrey, Wentz, and Jimmy G. What in the living hell.
  2. I've decided I'm going to lift my front foot and bend my lead arm on the backswing. Just because its cool.
  3. when was the last time the Cubs lost or any other Chicago team lost a real stud in their prime? I was really bothered when the Cubs lost Maddux. I wasnt shocked because everyone knew it was coming. It still bothers me that the Cubs screwed up so bad with a HoFer and then have the audacity to retire his number. I think the thing with Len is the shock of it. You always get the sense that relationships are ending no matter what level they are on. This completely floored me. wait you were mad that the cubs retired maddux's number? who tf cares? Seriously. They brought him back at the end, and then let him pretend to be a sound guy and throw curveballs at Kris.
  4. losing len hurt me more than any chicago athlete leaving ever has. i guess we all just assumed that he would be here for a very long time. What the hell? They stole our sunshine!!!
  5. (I'd still prefer the DH, tho)
  6. sorry, i meant sontensei http://www.northsidebaseball.com/archive/search.php?author_id=15403&sr=posts At least he said please.
  7. It won't be until Len is on what he assumes to be his final broadcasting job that he'll relent and admit working for the Ricketts made him physically ill. And it only took him 9 years to come to that realization. I'm sure it has been a slow but accelerating creep for him, just like it has been for all of us here, and accentuated by Marquee.
  8. This 100% It won't be until Len is on what he assumes to be his final broadcasting job that he'll relent and admit working for the Ricketts made him physically ill.
  9. What this board needs is more Andy Masur jokes.
  10. If its just a guy that made a twitter account two years ago to drop this today, then who is that guy?
  11. I keep trying to watch videos explaining what's happening in LoL matches and I never understand what's happening. There was a week-long span where I could get a general sense of wtf was going on. Now all I can remember is "Jungler."
  12. Was considering getting some kind of package to watch the Cubs next season. Forget that. Maybe I'll get really into League of Legends or some non sense.

  14. Damn man, ESPN is horsefeathering up. He'll do just fine on whatever other venue he cares to show up at.
  15. I'll be happy for him if he does well elsewhere. Otherwise, that's also how I'm steeling myself.
  16. What version of "untradeable" were we talking about then?
  17. I don't especially care if the Packers got two first ballot HOF QBs back to back out of amazing prognostication skills, pure luck, or a deal with Satan. It's fun and awesome, regardless. It's even cooler that they despise each other! Tis the season for giving thanks.
  18. Wilson is every bit as good as Rodgers at this point in their careers. Okay but that's right now where Wilson is still roughly prime age and Rodgers has an AARP card. Totes.

  21. F isn't even near L on the keyboard, so I can't even claim typo.
  22. You'll be able to watch the CBS late game: https://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2020&wk=12 Dude, I’m watching the Saints v Broncos. It would be nice for the Bears to help the Saints tonight, though. Well, Chiefs/Bucs is probably going to be higher-scoring and have more fantasy implications, so as a non Broncos fan, I'd love to have the option to flip to other stuff as you do. Which was obviously my point.
  23. I don't know what the board's opinion of Chris Collinsworth is, but I think he's top quartile of football announcers. Which makes it tragic that he's been replaced by TONY DUNGY for SNL, with Chris covering the Tuesday night game instead. Disaster.
