  1. Well, a 3 run lead in the 9th isn't exactly a high leverage situation. Motte is actually a guy I'd normally go to there assuming you like the match ups...he just happened to suck really really hard last night. Still not sure why Soriano is on this team. Veteran presence non sense?! Anyhow, just to lighten the mood and maybe keep this from going into a "bullpen sucks" sinkhole: http://www.fangraphs.com/wins.aspx?date=2015-07-27&team=Cubs&dh=0&season=2015
  2. I came here to see censored curses followed by celebratory gifs. Only semi-expected to find....this.
  3. The Kyle Schwarber game was JUST a touch more impressive than the 2014 John Baker game.
  4. And why can't Smoltz figure out that having a good team BA on first pitches does not mean the Cubs actually SWING at the first pitch a lot?
  5. You mean Jacob Turner? Headed for TJS, probably. Yeah, that guy. Well at least we get to stash him away for longer.
  6. This question is only mildly related, but is Justin Turner still alive?
  7. Apart from MLBTV (which you are late to the game on, and this game might be blacked out on...not sure on that) you could give slingtv a try (to get all of the ESPN streams)
  8. Not hardly. I mean, slate had a little blurb on the baby-holding foul ball hero from last night's game with video footage from the Dodger broadcast. Very, very different (much more whiny) take from them about the Dad. Obviously I'm biased, but Len and JD are MILES better than any other TV announcing team I've heard this year.
  9. All the trolling that I've done on facebook to defensive Card fans is just going to get more and more glorious. Soooo much lulz.

  11. ...dead men tell no tales...
  12. I would like an update on this please Pulled out of the game. X-Ray on left hand at hospital pending...
  13. I'm going to have to find a clip of that. Nothing more entertaining than listening to meatball opponent announcers crying about Cub player behavior.
  14. Agreed. Only one bad AB stuck in my head (with the impressive broken bat) and an awful lot of shitty, Soler-bad strike calls and horrid babip.
  15. Left a little bit early to get the "holy grail" first base dive, but with practice Russell will get there.
  16. Don't they have time stamp info so they can show a replay frame by frame on two different cameras at the same time? I thought we were living in the future!!! Horseshit.
  17. The only game that I can think of that was nearly as crazy was the Brant Brown dropped fly ball game. I think this one tops it, though.
  18. Yeah, you JUST missed it. Bummer. I think Sheirholtz and Sweeney did ok maybe.
  19. As completely lost as Couglan can look in LF, maybe switch Bryant and him for a few games and see how they look? ...or just keep Bryant at 3B because whatever, he's awesome.
  20. I hadn't browsed through General Baseball Discussions in a while, but lordy, I'm glad I did. This place is like staring into a dumpster fire, but in a good way.
  21. His OPS is quite a bit below .900 by now. ...its a long season.
  22. I kind of want to see Bryant not hit a HR all season and still have a +.900 OPS and then no one will be able to shut up about wtf is going on.
