There ain't no dumbbells in here; just his balls. Was at a wedding and decided to watch the replay of the game while going over the game thread...I recognized the reference immediately, with the accent in my head and everything, but took me half a minute to understand WHY it happened. Well played.

I enjoyed seeing this bumped for a lot of reasons. And after watching Schwarber look like Willie Mayes compared to the routes Soler has been taking on balls (and seeing him beat out a dead to rights pickoff somehow) ...this idea is far from insane. Cog can be Maddon's new Zobrist and the team will be better for it. I know it's cool to defend Castro from all the meatheads that have been gunning for him his entire career...but he has been beyond aweful this year. Neifi aweful with worse defense. That is not an exaggeration. Ponder that.

Well, a 3 run lead in the 9th isn't exactly a high leverage situation. Motte is actually a guy I'd normally go to there assuming you like the match ups...he just happened to suck really really hard last night. Still not sure why Soriano is on this team. Veteran presence non sense?! Not hardly. I mean, slate had a little blurb on the baby-holding foul ball hero from last night's game with video footage from the Dodger broadcast. Very, very different (much more whiny) take from them about the Dad. Obviously I'm biased, but Len and JD are MILES better than any other TV announcing team I've heard this year. -
All the trolling that I've done on facebook to defensive Card fans is just going to get more and more glorious. Soooo much lulz.
