Yep. He would have had a TD if Jay could have hit him on stride. The protection is still not good. Jay makes plays when the protection breaks down, he moves around, and makes a play. 2 sacks already.

Marlins lied about finances to get more money for stadium

I understand that the reason the Marlins want help to cover the cost of the new stadium is beacuse the state of Florida takes in a ton of taxes because of the new stadium. Has anyone done the math to see how much the state would make in taxes by loaning the Marlins the money? Is it more than the $2.5 billion they will pay by 2049? -

In 2006 Roy Williams had a big year with 1300 yards. I don't know if a Bear receiver can get over 1,000. But as we all know, the problem with this team is not the receivers now, but the offensive line.

Young has a .667 winning percentage as a starter. But I just can't stand his awful throwing motion. No one wins a Super Bowl unless they can become a pocket passer.

Hub Arkush just said that barring a terrible 2010 (like 3-13), he thinks the Bear higher ups have changed their minds and that Lovie will be back. If they fired him, they would have to hire somebody and pay that coach's salary if there is a lockout because head coaches (but not assistants) get paid during lockouts (right?). Hub also said he thinks there is a good possibility that Angelo will retire at the end of this season.

Yes I think Hank Aaron would not have taken an illegal substance. To argue otherwise is simply obtuse. This is all trying to protect a bunch of modern players who absolutely disrespected the game. Why cover for them?

From what I have heard, all of it. This was probably a move to keep Huet quiet and to free up some space for a young guy to get some time in the minors. -
Tiger and Elin officially divorced. No word on how much money she received. Watch Tiger start really playing well now.

Al Michaels is interviewing Favre right now. Brett says what he misses most every offseason is the camaraderie with the other players. He loves the locker room stuff. He loves it so much that he has his own personal locker room apart from the other guys. He loves the camaraderie so much he misses out on the first three weeks of training camp when they get to spend the most amount of time together.

Yep. He probably has the best straight-line speed on the team, but he doesn't have a football brain. Lovie wanted him because of his athletic ability, but he just can't produce. After he gave up the TD in the Super Bowl, he finally admitted that he decided to ad lib and throw the defense that was called out the window because he thought he knew better. He didn't and he still doesn't.

Josh Hamilton has the AL race all but locked up. Who is the National League's MVP? I just can't seem to think of anyone who jumps out. Pujols is having an off year by his standards. The Padres and Braves don't seem to have a guy who jumps out. So does it come down to Votto or Pujols?
