Do people realize that starting record is a poor way to evaluate QB play? Not that he didn't suck last year, but if that's what you're getting at, then say that. How many good QBs have poor W/L records? The QB is arguably the single most important position in sports and dictates W/L record more than anything else in football.

Why would I want a washed up, injured veteran who doesn't have starter ability anymore thinking that he should be a starter for a team that has two players slotted ahead of him? How does believing a lie help the team? I'm all for TMac knowing his role and coming to the Bulls. Unfortunately he doesn't know his role. Dan Bernstein made a good point today. Name one wing player who has had microfracture surgery surgery or major knee surgery who ever came to close to being his old self? McGrady has to know his role or at least keep it to himself.

It might help to actually show what you're talking about. We aren't ready/listening along with you. Im sure hes talking about the quotes from TMac posted earlier in the thread. TMac had the audacity to say if he signed with the Bulls he would have to come to camp and prove hes a starter, can you believe that jerk? Man what a prick he is huh.......... TMac coming in and after training camp telling everyone that he thinks he deserves to be a starter and that a rookie head coach doesn't know how to coach or choose starters would not be a good thing for this team or any team for that matter. TMac is not a starter right now because he is at the end of his career after microfacture surgery. TMac said that if was played like he did for the Knicks he would be a bench player, but he clearly said that he is a better player than he was last year and is a starter. He doesn't fit with Thibodeau who likes his players to play defense. TMac has never played defense in his life.

TMac should close is mouth if he ever wants to be in the NBA again. The Bulls have to think less of him after his most recent comments. The Bulls don't need his attitude, especially with a rookie coach. McGrady just might have talked himself out of the only offer he was going to get. Even Vinny didn't like him.

He's like a half-step worse than Hendry. That's because the World Series trophy he is carrying is slowing him down.

Hendry is an average GM. The problem is that he just had a lot of money at his disposal. Most other GMs would have made the same moves. And if you have a ton of money to throw around and your moves look like crap in the end, the poor result is mangified. As the others have said, the Cubs deserve a better than average GM. And average GMs rarely win championships.

Dan Bernstein said that Hendry could be trying to tell Ricketts that some of his poor signings were not really his decisions, but were the Tribune Company's. He had little say, so his job should be saved. Is Hendry really saying that? Would he try to pull that one past Tom? Obviously Kenney would have to hear about that and refute it.

It is interesting that some people say that the Cubs had injuries (Ramirez) or players unable to play (Zambrano) this year so Hendry should not be fired. Is that an excuse? Well look at the Braves. Jurrjens, Saito, Chipper, Heyward, McClouth, and Diaz have all missed significant time. And they had a 9 game losing. Injuries are not an excuse most of the time. -
You do if your top player is LeBron, Kobe, or Wade. Rose is not the type of player who will be the man on a championship winning team. He is a great player, but not good enough to do that.

I agree. I think he was too timid to call up LeBron. It's just not his personality. I don't think he didn't want to give up the spotlight here in Chicago because he has never even sought to be the king of Chicago. How is Corey Brewer's defense? I don't know. But I know RONNIE Brewer (the newest Chicago Bull) plays wonderful defense. Wow I totally had the wrong person.

No one seemed to bring that stuff up before LeBron signed. Did I just forget about it, or was it well publicized that the Bulls offered Izzo a contract before Cleveland did?

I'm still unconvinced that Rose is an alpha male leader. Deng is really not a three point shooter. He has never put up more than 2 a game on average in his career. But it wouldn't hurt to be in the gym working on that with Rose this summer.

Carreer starts when Tiger used his Scotty Cameron 2: 186 Career wins when Tiger used his Scotty Cameron 2: 86 It will be interesting to see if Tiger keeps the Nike putter in his bag after this tournament. John Daly has a dumbfounding swing. I have never seen a guy who overswings like he does control his shots. On his backswing, Daly's shaft almost rests on his back for a second ( :D ). But he was very accurate with his short stuff today.

Alas, no. The cap ceiling is a hard cap. You can't even violate it and pay a luxury tax (I think the Hawks would have done that to keep the team together). Think about that 180 turn from Bill Wirtz to Rocky Wirtz. I don't know why they went from no cap to a hard cap all at once. Something like Bird rules would have been nice, at least for the Blackhawks. -

But if he stayed with Cleveland and he never won a championship, wouldn't his fame take a good hit? There's risk that he wouldn't win no matter where he went. He'd still be an amazing player wherever he went and he'd be THE guy on that team...except if he went to the Heat. Obviously, he still has a ton of talent, but his role is potentially going to change drastically, and this is already being looked at as clearly being Wade's team. He must have realized that would have happened, and that's what's so lame about it. He basically weighed all of his options and decided, "yeah, I'm cool with being the second in command." I don't think LeBron is merely cool with it, I think that is what he wanted. He wants all of the good aspects of being the man without actually being the man. LeBron said that he is tired of pouring in 30 a game and carrying the team. But "the chosen one" should never say things like that.

He might be the biggest star on the planet, but that stardom could diminish if you aren't even the biggest star on your team. LeBron has got a ton of press, but a lot of it has been bad.

I see your point. If you want to bring in Marty Turco, that's fine. Not sure if he will be any cheaper than Niemi who I think will bring in the most bang for the buck which is a concern with the Hawks salary cap troubles. I just don't want to go back to Huet. Hjalmarson does move the puck up the ice well. So does Campbell. The Hawks had a difficult time doing that in the Nashville series which is why getting rid of Campbell might not be the best idea.
