  1. Yeah I wish he could tell his Dad how expensive this Cup was. his dad would role over with the likes of Madden contract, he was such a tight wad Does anyone know how much profit the Hawks could make this year compared to the bad years? I always wondered why Bill Wirtz thought he could make more his way. I know that the tides were beginning to change after drafting Kane and Toews, but I doubt Wirtz would have gone the same direction as Rocky. Rocky really deserves a ton of credit.
  2. If Nebraska joins the Big 10 right away, how does that affect the schedule they already had for 2010? Won't they need to play more Big 10 teams?
  3. There is no way Izzo would even think about going to Cleveland if LeBron is not there. And there is no way that can be guaranteed until after July 1. By then Cleveland would have found another coach because they couldn't wait that long for Izzo.
  4. Adrian W. likes the Bulls' chances better now. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-lebroninfluence060510
  5. Can you protest a call like that? I would not be surprised if Selig overturned the call.
  6. I thought this happened in Milwaukee vs the Cubs a few years back
  7. Where is the chat found?
  8. They're down 3 in the 3rd, not 6 in the 6th. Yep. But sometimes a game is won or lost in the first, second, third inning. Chances are that was the game.
  9. Gotta pinch hit for Gorzelany there. The pen is rested and that was probably the most important play in the game.
  10. Most for an NL reliever. What if he ended the year with the most K's in baseball. Is that possible?
  11. I noticed that Pat and Ron only thought 35,000 were at the game tonight. The Cubs have sold 93% of their home seats this year which isn't bad, but it doesn't compare to the last couple of years. What is the reason? Cubs are playing bad or it isn't summer break yet or the economy?
  12. Wasn't he the pitcher who asked the manager to come out in about the second inning or so and proceeded to take off his cup, hand it to the manager, and then pitch much better?
  13. With Cleveland being bad and Wood being bad and Cleveland needing to shed payroll, any chance the Cubs make a push for him to be the setup man in a trade?
  14. Money. Toronto can sign him to an extra year and more money. Oh. That is a serious loophole.
  15. Why would Bosh agree to a sign and trade? So he gets traded to the team he wants to go to and the only way that can happen is through a sign and trade?
  16. Bosh supposedly has a list of teams that he wants to go to. One of them is the Bulls. This source says that he wants to go where LeBron goes with New York and Chicago as the cities named. He won't be able to get max money and be teammates with LeBron at any place outside of New York though. If the Bulls land both of them, they are the best team in the NBA next year. Teams can sign and trade before the July 1 deadline correct? But you have to trade matching salaries? Anyone else concerned that the Bulls might wait to get LeBron, might wait to get a coach until after July 1 with the intention of getting a coach he wants, and be left with a terrible coach because all of the good ones are snatched up and also not get LeBron? If I was Reisndorf I would be willing to go the Mark Cuban right and talk to LeBron now and just take the one million dollar fine. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5208043
  17. But he was born and raised there and while that might not be a factor with most people, it is with him. LeBron is a creature of habit and that habit is the city of Cleveland. Maybe he'll re-sign, maybe he won't, but those last days in Cleveland did not do any favors for Cavs on getting him to re-sign. Like most tho, I believe he had a foot out the door, and that Cleveland is no better at getting him then Chicago, Miami, or NY (I don't think NJ will be a factor). Is there any chance that LeBron takes less money so the Bulls or any other team can sign him and another top free agent? Part of the reason that LeBron and players like him can't win is that they take up too much salary. Is there a precedent for top free agents taking less money to get another player to sign with him?
  18. But he was born and raised there and while that might not be a factor with most people, it is with him. LeBron is a creature of habit and that habit is the city of Cleveland.
  19. I'm a bit surprised at how the Bulls seem to have jumped in as LeBron's number one choice after Cleveland's loss for the national media. Commentators are saying what they would do if they were LeBron, but that really doesn't matter. I think LeBron is staying in Cleveland due to his loyalty to the city. Nevertheless, what will keep LeBron from coming to Chicago is not Jordan's legacy. Jordan doesn't live in the city anymore, doesn't really make appearances in Chicago, and owns a different NBA franchise. The Lakers had stars there, but that sure didn't keep Kobe from running. Did ARod not go to the Yankees because of Babe Ruth's legacy?
  20. Yep. Hendry knew about it and took Z out to Y Bar.
  21. You know you are old when...you are Jamie Moyer and you have been playing longer then the throwback uniform you are wearing tonight
  22. I didn't think the Bulls had much of a chance to land LeBron before the Boston series, but Chicago's chances had to increase in the last day or so. My Bulls dream offseason would be in order of importance: 1. LeBron 2. Calipari 3. Ray Allen Would this be a championship team? The low post threat would be pretty pitiful. Do the Bulls have enough money to get Allen? How much is left after LeBron? What would the Bulls do with Luol Deng if they landed LeBron? He would be quite the expensive backup 3. Don't you have a to trade contract for contact making it hard to trade Luol?
  23. Yeah! Crazy bastards! lol The same person who hacked Lindsay Lohan's Twitter account must have done the same to my NSSB account. I'm going to send Tim a PM on this.
  24. Whoever thought this guy was polished enough to play one of the most important defensive positions on the field is crazy
  25. The Hawks are glad they packed for San Jose now
