  1. The Bulls have done everything they could have to get a big name guy. If all they are left with is Boozer, I really can't be angry at Bulls management. The Raptors want Noah in a sign and trade. If Bosh wants to win, he will forget the sign and trade with Chicago and just take the regular max deal. He will weaken the team he is going to. Would Bosh get more per year if he worked out a sign and trade, or would he just get another year? If it is just another year, it's not like he isn't going to get another contract. He will get that money later. While the new CBA could lower his salary a bit in 5 years, it won't really be that much. I don't know why it has taken so long for Cleveland to be interested in a sign and trade for Bosh. This was dangerously late in the process. But even if Bosh and LeBron go there, he can't win a championship with all the weapons they might have to give up. If LeBron and Bosh want to win, go to Miami with Wade or come to Chicago.
  2. Yeah, that is pretty much guessing and not reporting. It's a really good guess. If that scenario happens, can the Bulls keep Hinrich?
  3. I don't know about that. The Cavs are designed to win 60 regular season games because they can ride LeBron, but when it comes to the playoffs they are not a great playoff team. They don't have enough secondary offensive weapons. Obviously LeBron in a best-case scenario wants to stay in Cleveland. LeBron might be telling himself that the Cavs did get him some help with Jamison, and if he hadn't had a bum elbow they could have won a championship this year and just might next year. That's the only real reason LeBron could justify staying there. there's about 30,000,000 other reasons why LeBron could justify staying there, too. But the two I gave are really the only important ones. What else besides the fact that Cleveland is home and he was injured in the playoffs would make him think they can win there? I guess a 6 year deal that only Cleveland can give since the Cavs don't want to sign and trade.

  5. If Goff is right, NY, NJ, and Miami are all screwed. I feel bad for them. Wait, no I don't. Can a team unofficially announce a deal now if they wanted to?
  6. http://twitter.com/jgoff670 He works for 670 the SCORE in Chicago. I don't think he has ever broken a basketball story, but he knows his basketball. I actually don't mind this at all. Lately I thought that LeBron was going back to Cleveland. This was the best the Bulls could do. LeBron is not winning a championship in Cleveland unless Chris Paul comes there.
  7. When the temperature at Wrigley is consistently 95, Lee, Ramirez, Z, and Castro will all be fine.
  8. wade is a spy You know what, that actually could be true. Nice catch. If he is, the Bulls aren't going to give him the info he desires. GarPax is not stupid, the though had to have crossed their minds. I hope it wasn't the thought Pax had when he was negotiating with Luol ("give him what he wants"). Imagine if Gordon had taken the Bulls original contract offer a few years back. Whew!
  9. Because he [expletive] knows how to manage.
  10. On the radio I heard that Pat siad this is the first time he has heard of a team batting around without a hit. Is that true?
  11. What GM gives a manager who never managed a 5 year contract? With that said, I heard Hinch is a hot commodity and didn't do a bad job with the talent he had.
  12. wade is a spy You know what, that actually could be true. Nice catch.
  13. Hearing rumors that once Lou is gone after this season, Joe Torre could be a nice fit. But the Cubs are going to stink next year so why would he want to get in that mess?
  14. Those guys would make minced meat of Dent at PW.
  15. is this a real thing? jesus christ I've never even heard of Amir Johnson.
  16. Image. Conquest. Tiger's all about the "Majors" and she's one. As an aside, I highly doubt she's getting 3/4 of a billion dollars. There's simply no way Tiger has that much cash. He may be worth 1 billion on paper, but most of it is probably tied up in stock options. He'd have to liquidate and go into bankruptcy to pay out that sort of dough. Why can't he just sell his stock?
  17. No the Bulls don't have to trade Deng to get LeBron. They have enough for him. But if they want two players at max contracts, they have to trade Johnson and Taj or Deng. Deng can't play PF. He can't rebound and doesn't have the size or strength defensively. My guess is that the Bulls will trade him after eating 30-40% of his salary. Deng will want out if LeBron comes to Chicago anyway. Unfortunately you won't be able to trade him until after all the big boys have been signed and someone is left out in the cold and is in need of a SF. But that would mean that the Bulls wouldn't have enough at signing time to get 2 max guys.
  18. Yes cause Taj's money is now off the books. I take my comment back. If the Bulls got rid of Gibson's salary, they are still $377,000 short to get LeBron and Bosh. Johnson and Gibson would both have to go. I would kind of like to keep Gibson.
  19. Yes cause Taj's money is now off the books.
  20. So LeBron met with New York today, Miami and New Jersey tomorrow, and the Bulls and Cavs Saturday (or Sunday). I wonder if this is is ranked in order of how much he wants to play for a each team.
  21. What would LeBron get on the open market? 40 million?
  22. That can't be a good sign if you are associated with the Knicks. I understand James isn't going to tip his hand on what his decision is, but the fact that James seems to be pretty much a robot during the Knicks presentation, is not a good sign. He has been a robot this whole offseason no matter who has has talked to.
  23. 2 months ago I thought the Bulls had no chance to get LeBron. Now that they do have a chance I am actually much more nervous about this whole thing. Not getting LeBron would be so disappointing now.
  24. Holy [expletive]. That's a lot of scratch. I didn't think he had $750 million. I guess he had double that.
