  1. And he's a poor talent evaluator, takes too long to adjust when his personnel stinks (Tommie Harris), bad at challenges, forced out good coaches (Rivera) and so on and so on.
  2. you said that mark sanchez is basically jay cutler, then you backpedaled. as your penance, never compare mark sanchez to jay cutler again. I never said Sanchez is basically Jay Cutler right now. Maybe is not basically. But give Sanchez two more years and he will be a better QB than Cutler. Sanchez is young enough where you can put up with his turnovers, but it looks like Jay has yet to learn.
  3. Everyone's hurt.
  4. Before today their stats were quite similar. but they shouldn't be similar if they are the same quarterback. you said sanchez has a much better line and receivers. shouldn't sanchez have much better numbers then? Yep. That is why I said maybe. what a bold statement, then. It wasn't meant to be bold until you jumped all over it.
  5. LeBron bumped Spoelstra on his way to the bench last night just like he did to Mike Brown. There is no way Spoelstra survives this unless the Heat have an incredible December. I knew Spoelstra was out of his league when Bosh said in an interview that the team wants to practice so hard and Spoelstra wants them to practice so hard and they decided to meet in the middle. Barkley totally ripped Bosh saying that Bosh has never won and has no idea how hard you have to work to win in practice. LeBron and Bosh just don't respect Spoelstra. Riley isn't far behind. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Video-LeBron-James-bumps-his-coach-again?urn=nba-289728

  8. Or, in truth, he's the exact opposite of Jay Cutler in every way imaginable. So Jay doesn't lead game winning last minute drives like he did last week? I said MAYBE Sanchez was on his level. But MAYBE NOT. he led a game winning drive and so did jay? they must be twins! They are both little punks. Must be separated at birth.

  10. Did they show that on tv somewhere? It was on the postgame on Fox.
  11. be honest... how many bulls games have you actually watched this season? 2? 3? rose's defense is definitely passable rose is closing in on deron and cp3 quickly. i think one year from now, he'll either be tied with them or pass them. let's not forget about the age difference here. paul and deron have pretty much plateaued. rose keeps getting better and hasn't reached his ceiling yet. i can't wait to see what numbers he puts up when boozer comes back (for 6 weeks) Yep. Rose is definitely not a bad defender. Middle of the pack and probably rising. The only glaring weakness is Rose's game was the three, which the other two you mentioned have. And this year it is at least an option. He could also probably do a little better job of dishing out to another player when he breaks down the defense. I know he doesn't have a ton to work with due to Boozer being out, but it seems that Rose is only looking to score when he beats his man. The big guys begin to converge on him and someone has to be open.
  12. He's basically Jay Cutler with far far better receivers and a line.
  13. Do you consider Ken Whisenhunt, Bill Callahan, Tom Coughlin, Andy Reid, Mike Martz and Lovie Smith to be fantastic coaches, then? Sorry I meant Super Bowl winning ones.
  14. That's why he's just blah. Super Bowl teams have fantastic coaches. I want a fantastic coach.
  15. I guess someone fell from the stadium onto the street and died at the game today. Can you call over the top of Soldier Field?
  16. his team loves him and he's managed a bunch of former head coaches without drama. lovie is what he is: a fairly successful system head coach that players believe in and will go to war for. i don't see how you can ask for much than that. A high school coach, yes. Not an NFL coach in a huge market with a storied franchise. Fine Lovie brings with him his system and the fact that players play hard for him. That makes his just an average coach which is what I have been arguing all along.
  17. Wilf sure made it seem like Frazier is getting the job for good next year when he gave him the game ball and said he hoped this would be one of many wins for him.
  18. The system has worked this year not because of Lovie Smith, but because the Bears haven't been injured.
  19. 11.8 yards per attempt. that's efficiency right there. jay is the only qb that would have us in this position. I don't know, I think Peyton Manning would have the Bears in the same position, likely. Brady, Rodgers, Vick, Ryan, Rivers, and maybe Sanchez too. Cutler played great. Maybe his best game as a Bear, but I don't think he was the only guy who could do that.
  20. I can't think of one thing that Lovie does better than the average coach either. How about this year where everybody was saying the Bears were going to be lucky to win 5 or 6 games, yet they're 8-3 through the 11 game mark? The average coach has them in the same place with the amount of talent the Bears have. Heck an average coach challenges the goal line call with Cutler against Washington and it probably wins them the game.
  21. I can't think of one thing that Lovie does better than the average coach either.
  22. Has Vick ever beaten the Bears?
  23. I would hate for them to do so, but how do you not review that? Was a whistle blown?
  24. Knox what a freaking idiot.
  25. The Bears' defensive line looks totally gassed. No push at all.
