  1. I don't know. I thought Jordan blocked a layup on the right side of the basket early in the home game that kind of set the tempo for the rest of the game.
  2. It's one thing to find their size, but another to find their talent especially late in the draft (assuming they get linemen early). I would not be surprised if Jerry doesn't go after as many linemen as we wish. Frank is young and they just signed him. Williams isn't going anywhere. Olin is playing better, but you don't usually don't go for centers early on. They will probably try to get at least one more year out of him. Garza just might be the best lineman on the team. And Webb is a rookie and they might want to give him time. Obviously the line is terrible, but I wonder if Jerry will go after a CB first. Or a more serviceable backup QB even thought they need to get one through FA who is a veteran.
  3. It probably was.
  4. The whole thing would've been much more entertaining if Cleveland had a halfway decent team to at least put up some semblance of a fight on the court. I think it was fitting, showing the world just how much Cleveland needed LeBron. They went from #1 seed in the east, to pure garbage because of one player. It reminded me of Jordan's first game in Chicago as a Wizard. All that hype for the game, and the Bulls looked beyond awful. I think they scored under 70 points for the game. Wasn't that on the same day as the Bears/Philly playoff game? I remember the play where Jordan blocked/trapped a shot against the backboard. The Bulls played terribly.
  5. You're nuts. It's not THE most pressing need, but it's up there. I think the Bears need a certain type of receiver. They have no need for another small, speedy guy. They need someone with size and height.
  6. The stars always get the calls. If the refs are really missing calls like you think, it won't belong before Rose gets them.
  7. Has a 12 win team ever missed the playoffs?
  8. How did Cleveland sell out their first 10 games this season?
  9. Miami could win by 50.
  10. http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2010/1202/nba_a_cavs_signs_b1_576.jpg Like Father, like son. Ouch.
  11. Some of us are masochists.
  12. This was Colin Cowherd's lock of the year (literally). He thought Miami would get blown out by 15.
  13. So they beat one team with a winning record. Wow.
  14. Is Jay in the stands or something?
  15. Orlando is not a good matchup for the Bulls. And the offense has yet to mesh with Boozer. If Orlando lands Arenas they could beat L.A.
  16. Anyone think that a fan or group of fans could get violent in Cleveland tomorrow night when LeBron comes back? Security will be strengthened at Quicken Loans Arena, but I hope they have metal detectors at the stadium. I hope no one runs out on the court.
  17. I thought there was always an ESPN game on Wednesday. Atdhe tonight I guess. The Boston game on Friday will be on ESPN at least.
  18. Boozer looks like he will play and start Wednesday. He went through a full practice and feels good. It is Boozer's ultimate decision on whether or not to play though. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/11/boozer-practices-bulls-debut-wednesday-possible.html
  19. And your reasons are bad. Put Brady, Manning, and the other guys I mentioned in this offense and the team is better. I don't think I said he needs to be replaced. I said lately (since the bye) Cutler was the weak link because he was the weak link. The line was playing better, the running backs were playing better, the receivers were getting separation, and the defense was solid while Jay was throwing more picks in the red zone. Jay obviously isn't bad anymore. I did not forecast that Cutler would be the weak link forever, but if the Bears want to be a serious contender he had to up his play. And he certainly did and I am ecstatic. This is the Cutler that the Bears thought they were getting.
  20. And he's a poor talent evaluator, takes too long to adjust when his personnel stinks (Tommie Harris), bad at challenges, forced out good coaches (Rivera) and so on and so on. lovie is a pretty good evaluator of talent as it relates to his scheme. Mark Anderson and Tommie Harris were both terrible and Lovie refused to take them out of the lineup until it was obvious to everyone that they couldn't play anymore. Manning was his personal project and not until this year has he showed anything. But he really hurt the team last year.
  21. Because I originally said that Sanchez was maybe (meaning not certainly) as good as Cutler. Why would you write an insanely long post when all you had to do was recognize that I said maybe? Everyone looked ahead to the part where I said in jest that that he was basically the same guy because Sanchez has a much better line and receiving core. I tried to defend the "maybe" by pointing out that Jay and Sanchez had very similar stats going into today. Everyone here (including me) gets their jollies by pointing out where others are wrong. But why completely overlook what I originally said where I poked fun at myself by saying they were basically the same. I did that because you guys missed something do obvious where I qualified my statement. But all I said was that maybe Sanchez is not too far behind because they have similar stats. The point is that there are 5-6 QBs in this league who can do exactly what Jay does in this offense even with a bad line and an average receiving core at best. Jay has his best game this year and all of the sudden no one else can do what Jay does.
  22. there is no maybe in that statement. oh, and you are insufferable. That was a joke buddy and I am pretty sure you knew it. For some reason you get incredibly ignorant when you argue with me. I originally said maybe and was trying to make light of the fact that everyone jumped all over it. that's really weird dude I know. I thought you would look at what I originally said and wise enough to read when someone is self-deprecating.
  23. Since you didn't refer to anything specifically you are probably talking about your incessant complaining of the Bears' defense after the opposition marches down the field only to wind up with a FG all the while the Bear defense is ranked third and fifth in points and yards respectively.
  24. No he won't. With his line and his receivers Mark will be. Jay has more talent than Sanchez. Sanchez will be the better QB.
