  1. There's no way I don't pitch Rich Harden game 1 if he keeps pitching like he has his last 5 starts. If Harden is healthy and rested he's the best pitcher we have, and one of the best in baseball.
  2. No he wouldn't. He played this season, the other 2 didn't. And I'm not sure Glavine makes it 1st ballot.
  3. The Giants probably have the 2 best pitchers, but they probably have the 2 worst out of those groups too.
  4. I only saw the game last night, and he got the living [expletive] beat out of him. He's toast.
  5. Even if he didn't say it, I'm attributing this to that drooling buffoon Dave Kaplan.
  6. Yeah, except for the team with the best fuckign record in baseball. Houston had a winning record until we pantsed them in the end of July.
  7. Isiah Thomas isn't exactly a high character guy. I don't really see an issue with it anyway, it could actually turn into a decent strategy for him, kids that want to buy into the Bloomington [expletive] he can point out to them that he was there when it meant something, that present day IU isn't the IU he knew and loved. Come play for a real IU guy.
  8. Wasn't this a guy IU was after? Yea, and he was committed to Kentucky before Gillespie left. I'm kinda suprised that Isiah would go after a guy IU had targeted. Why?
  9. I was gonna say that'd be stupid of Toronto. I didn't realize how far he's fallen. Vernon Well is still going to kill them, but yeesh.
  10. He looks like a lunatic.
  11. TT [expletive] loves Pavano this year. I think he's Glendon Rusch in that he's just getting the [expletive] beat out of him on hard hit balls that don't leave the park.
  12. This definitely hasnt been his year, with his .193/.332/.364 line, but it would be hard to argue with picking him up as a bat off the bench. Maybe we could get an Edmondsesque resurgence out of him for a few months. Hes a lefty, and thats what matters, at least to Lou. If you wanted an Edmondsesque lefty why wouldn't you just get Jim Edmonds? Or teach Shea Hillenbrand to switch hit.
  13. I think Koyie Hill should leadoff and nobody should question me.
  14. Wrigley's walls are high, and it is pretty long down the lines as well. I believe at one point they had the longest foul lines in the majors. If they aren't still, I'd be surprised.
  15. All that Jersey said combined with the fact that he's a tools guy. The fact that he's been able to translate those tools into even moderate production at such a young age is very impressive.
  16. I am much more upset about bringing Miles back, than about demoting Stevens over Shark. Of course, I am probably as much of a ND homer has Hendry is though :) I'm an ND fan too, but this is just stupid. Samardzija has looked awful.
  17. Did that open yet? ETA: Nevermind, was thinking of the other one.
  18. ESPN was showing highlights of his minor league games on sportscenter, and showing off his HR's he ws hitting in the minors too. Yeah, man that hurts to think about. We were watching Sportscenter at this party we were at, and they started showing Prior highlights. We made everyone shut up, and my buddy was so excited about Prior, that when they showed his face, he exclaimed "MAN, HE'S NOT TOO BAD LOOKING EITHER." Mark Prior was really ugly, but we were willing to look past that. Oh [expletive] you, Mark Prior was/is [expletive] hot.
  19. Jerome Walton, Pat Listach, and Bobby Crosby all give hima serious run for his money. Ben Grieve, LOL It's gotta be Bob Hamelin.
  20. Nobody's complaining about bringing Prior back in the 8th. They're complaining about the ridiculous move of having him throw 300 pitches in game 2 up by 8.
  21. Hoff definitely has options. He was just rostered for the first time last year.
  22. holy [expletive].
  23. you could ask the same of Ian Snell I think both of them pissed off management. Gorzo's a douchebag so that makes sense, I think Snell was just pissed that the team is awful.
  24. It surprises you that a pitcher's ERA is high with RISP?
