    what is an absolute disaster? losing 90-100 games every year with dwindling attendance and a bottom-10 payroll and no ability to improve your own ballpark with your own money tells me we already have an absolute disaster. i know that it's not particularly likely the cubs move out of their current location any time soon, but things are pretty terrible at wrigley right now. everything should be on the table. They're punishing him for lying to them and obstructing the investigation I am drawing a blank on the player who tested positive, and set up a fake website to represent the "company." To try to get away with it. Didn't he get an extended suspension? That was Melky Cabrera, right? Yes and I believe he only got 50 games Correct, and he was tied to biogenesis but they didn't even suspend him for it because he already served 50 games. The union is being incredibly shortsighted on this because they don't like arod personally. They're allowing the commissioner the unilateral right to suspend a player(who happens to be one of the most well paid in the game) an exorbitant amount on a whim.

    So take one of the few sure things on our roster (a reliable starting pitcher) and turn him into another risk and convince the top available free agent to sign with a 65 win team for 80% of what everyone else is offering So how do you two propose we improve our rotation? It's a difficult question, are we going to continue forward carrying an 80M payroll, or are we going to act like a real team? If we're acting like a real team, than my first way to improve our rotation would be to not trade away the best pitcher in it.
