It wasn't like Syracuse was 1-0 against UConn, it was their 3rd try against them. I'd give No. Iowa an even money chance at 1 win if they had 3 tries against UConn. I feel like Sully over the past week or so when people continue to crap on the Valley saying all they do is beat up on each other to earn high RPIs. I can't imagine the uproar if Bradley went into Depaul and lost to them by 39.(Bradley beat them on the road by 15 before Bradley got hot) I absolutely cannot wait for a couple Valley or CAA(Who I think is overrated) wins in the tourney, and I hope Gary Williams (We'll schedule 3 neutral games against Missouri St. next year then, ((Yeah and you'll lose all 3))) is watching and I hope Jim Nantz is on the call. If you're going to worship at the throne of the RPI for the past 20 years, don't turn your back on it when for once it doesn't fit your preconceived notions. What the hell is the point of having these systems if you're just going to throw it out when it doesn't match what you already thought. Just because the school's name sounds different and hasn't been to a lot of tourneys before doesn't mean they don't belong. People were saying the same thing about Gonzaga 8 years ago, I just hope it doesn't take the legit teams from the Valley another 8 years to gain any sort of acceptance. People bitch and moan about these teams not playing anybody. They're not playing anybody because nobody wants to play them!! The coachs like Williams can say whatever they want about them knowing they're better than those teams. They flat out don't know that and that's why they won't play them in anything but a home game, and even those are rare. Cause what happens if one of those Valley teams that "doesn't play anybody" got the chance to "play somebody" What happens if they won?? Then your little cult of big time coaches are gonna see one of their guaranteed payoffs in a tourney slot get taken away by a small school and we certainly can't have that. So you migh as well keep scheduling Elon for home and homes, you know they don't stand a chance, and if they manage to pull off a miracle, hey it was just a fluke anyways, we all know those little schools can't hang. When's the last time Missouri St. won anything? EDIT: Move to rants if you deem necessary moderators, I don't know if this really counts as on topic. Wasn't supposed to be more than a 2 sentence reply.
