  1. Canada allowed a lot of runs to South Africa and us. If we beat shut down South Africa's offense, there's nothing to worry about. A Mexico win over SA and Canada would likely give the 1 and 2s to us and Mexico.
  2. it obviously has something to do with MSU laying a big fat egg in conference play, despite the contributions of "The Big Three". what a joke. Am I taking crazy pills here? Can you say with a straight face that those two outperformed Davis? Wisconsin disappointed in the Big 10 too, let's get Horner in there instead of Tucker. For real. If he wasn't a huge pansy he would be the best rebounder in the Big Ten, or the best scoring big man in the conference.... In a league void of elite big men. You would think if he was as tough as everyone gives him credit for being he would have been able to get his team with two other great players into the top half of his conference. Yet 3 big men make the first team over him? This team success stuff is ridiculous. By this logic the top 3 teams in the conference are the only ones able to get players on the all-conference team. By this logic Tucker doesn't belong on the first team. Also, you're caricaturizing MSU's season to a hilarious degree. I don't know where exactly I stand on this, but Tucker had nowhere close to the supporting cast that Davis did.
  3. Cintron's #s look much better because of a 2003 that was way out of line with his historic performance. He will never approach those numbers again(Unless he signs with the Cardinals) He's also suspect with the glove iirc.
  4. Hahahaha, it's really going to amaze me when Isiah gets his next job after flopping in 4 consecutive jobs. Wouldn't it be great to get those kind of chances in the real world?
  5. Oral Roberts, South Alabama, and UW-Milwaukee enter the field.
  6. Wow, real surprised Augustine made 1st team, though I do find him to be pretty universally underrated. Any reason for the random capitalization hawkeye?
  7. Word. DOUBLE word to ya motha! Vanilla Ice... is that you? Alright STOP!! Collaborate and listen!
  8. What if I'm an NBA team offering him millions of dollars? Then can I have him?
  9. UNC Wilmington, Iona, and Gonzaga earn auto bids. Sun Belt, Mid-Con, and Horizon give away autos tomorrow.
  10. Wilmington up big on Hofstra. I'd liked Hofstra's team a lot, and wasn't that impressed with Wilmington. I'm just gonna throw darts for my tourney picks.
  11. I have to build suspense for the mock selection committee, but all those 1 possession wins against inferior opponents don't look too good to me.
  12. GW hasn't beaten a team presently ranked all year. (They beat Maryland when they were #17, but I don't think anybody's arguing that Maryland was even a top 25 team then) That Maryland game happens to be their best win. The only tourney team they played all year was NC St. and they were rolled by them by 19. When St. Joe's got the #1, they were undefeated heading into the conference tourney(which seems to be taken less into account than standard games by the committee. The A-10 wasn't god-awful like it is this year, sending I believe 3 or 4 teams. And St. Joe's had some decent wins, beating Gonzaga and BC.
  13. I'll go on record guaranteeing GW doesn't get higher than a 3.
  14. I think as long as Illinois wins 1 game in the Big 10 tourney they get a 2 seed. It looks like UConn, Nova, Duke, Memphis, Ohio St., Gonzaga, Texas, and Illinois as the 1s and 2s IMO.
  15. Anybody know the tiebreaker between Michigan and MSU? Who gets Minnesota and who gets Purdue?
  16. In addition to Penn: Belmont, Winthrop, Southern Illinois, Murray St., and Davidson have clinched bids.
  17. It's not common sense at all because then you'd wind up with 14 teams after the winner of the 13/16 and 14/15 game was decided. From there you'd have to have 3/14, 4/13, 5/12, 6/11, 7/10/, 8/9 before finally making it to the quarterfinals. Now you've got the tournament going 5 days, and making it pretty much impossible for any of those 4 bottom seeds to win anyways, so what's the point?
  18. Japan and Korea over the US?? Al Leiter isn't going to be pitching that many innings.
  19. Nah, Dusty pretty much called Hollandsworth the starter all spring. Kinda like he's been doing for Murton this year.
  20. Yeah it was more of a Sportscenter complaint than anything else. They're especially horrible with this in the NBA.
  21. 19 wins in the Big East oughta be enough, they just better not get blown out again the rest of the year.
  22. Ozzy doesn't need anyone to fire him up. Just wait Ozzy will wear out his welcome on the South Side soon enough. His team won the first World Series in this town in 88 years. I think he's going to be loved by at least half of the city for a long time. I'm not saying that he's not crazy, but he managed a World Series team in Chicago. He's the only person on the planet that is alive to say that. The first time they go on an extended losing streak and Ozzy starts calling out the players to the media, we'll see how much love there is. Or if Reinsdorf decides to stand pat and not upgrade at the trade deadline we'll see what Ozzy has to say about that. He is due for a Hal McCray or Lee Elia meltdown sometime this year. I think he already had a few last year, but nobody had a clue what he was saying so they just chalked it up lovable little Ozzie.
