    USAs ratings have been in steady decline, propped up by WWE on Monday nights which is in its own decline. A complicating factor is they have WWEs pseudo minor league airing on Wednesday nights which is a hockey night on NBCSN. WWE wants Wednesday nights to stifle the upstart competition on TNT, but USA is also paying ~250M/year for the 2 shows. Guess it depends what later this year means and if they could move their Wednesday hockey night to Thursdays beyond their current commitment.

    Michigan's schedule broke so favorably. Illinois and Iowa once apiece and both in Ann Arbor, and don't have to go to Rutgers, which is funny to write. ETA: Though because of the depth, barttorvik still has you with the 2nd hardest schedule the rest of the way. Another edit: I guess Illinois only plays Iowa once (in Champaign) too.

    They said Lucas would have 2 courts, but only one going at a time, I guess for a quick turnaround, while not wanting the whistle confusion that you see at high school/AAU multi-court tourneys. Logistically, they only need 4 locations if you have 4 games a day at each place for opening Thursday-Friday. Sounds like Purdue and IU would be used for the first weekend only, maybe put 2 pods of 4 in each.

    It doesn't really make it okay, but between this trade, Ed Howard, and the last two IFA classes the Cubs now have a pretty absurd collection of teenagers. Like holy crap. Just in time for us to contract low level minor league clubs

    Taking that hard a stance is something you do when you already are pretty sure it will work out. I'm guessing ultimately some sort of deal is made with the Rose Bowl, whether it be allowing parents or the semifinal moving. Of course, ND needs to win to play in that one; if they lose tomorrow best case scenario is likely Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, which isn't disallowing families but is far more likely to end poorly. Players will opt to not expose their family to what would happen against Bama

    Granting that Northwestern is going to get demolished, It would be really interesting. You can't possibly keep Ohio State where they are, nor can you keep Clemson twice beaten by ND in line for a 3rd chance in a championship. I guess it would be whoever wins the Big XII title game based on how they set up the rankings, but it should really be Cincinnati, even with their shitty schedule.

    Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn(pronounced co-burn) are Illinois’s 2 stars, though Kofi’s back to the basket post game is unlikely to translate to being a high NBA pick
