    Yes to 'it's a start', no to pretty much the rest of it, especially the next sentence. If you travel for work, the company you work for covers a vast majority of your expenses. You don't get your salary reduced because of it. I had an employer tell me they couldn't give me more money because my travel expenses were being covered. I...didn't stay there.

    My wife shot a video of me pacing around the house in the bottom of the ninth. She showed it to me a couple months back, it sounded like i was speaking in tongues. I could not believe the Cubs got out of it, let alone a 1-2-3 inning. I knew then they were winning the game after that. I had closed out our tab in the top of the 8th expecting a mad rush and wanting to get out on the streets, not before asking if they sold champagne like a jinxing idiot that I am (I was also the 14 year old that started the '5 outs left' chant in my section right before Bartman). Said I would cover the bill and realized they were charging $9/Old Style tall boy, so that was a cool $350 or so. Between the 9th and the rain delay...that was a dark half hour. We found out our bar didn't have champagne, but I knew the bar owner so she said we could bring it in if we bought it and started passing the hat to go buy it. Then we stopped.

    The theory is they may have the availability to trade Chatwood's full contract if the right combination of circumstances strike during ST. The Bryant stuff has never made any coherent sense to begin with, everyone in the org should be ashamed at how this winter has transpired, regardless of what restrictions they have. I just don’t see a lot of teams with 13M lying around for a 5th starter. I know ST hasn’t started yet, but you still have Cashner, Vargas, Millone, and McHugh out there for a hell of a lot less money

    If Kris Bryant is being shopped to get under the luxury tax and they have the availability to trade Chatwood’s full contract, then everyone in the organization should be fired

    I make fun of everyone else here for believing Chatwood had trade value so I’ll do it for Sharma as well. The idea of FA Chatwood getting 1/13M is laughable
