  1. Just kidding they wouldn’t be born for another 4 years
  2. On the White Sox topic, their game was really fun last night, Phillies ran out of pitchers so had a position player pitching with Vince Velazquez in LF. He throws out Abreu at the plate in the 14th. Almost does it again in the 15th(went to replay), then ended the inning with a diving catch that statcast gave a 15% chance of making.
  3. I find it really strange in this day and age that the White Sox still haven't figured out that besides being good the next best thing you could probably do to increase interest in your team is to have really good announcers on TV and radio. Not only do they need to be able to pander to the base, but create an appeal to the non base. Probably not going to happen if you just keep saying "We are getting screwed" Benetti is a really good announcer, and has even made Stone decent again.
  4. Greetings from Nashville, TN! Charlie Brown not falling for this quite yet Lucy. Here we are in St Louis

  6. I was all set for a pro-wrestling themed comeback story theme, but instead here's a poorly pixelated representative of Milwaukee over a representative of ownership. Go Clowns
  7. Is Julian Green the highest ranked Cubs official to do one of these Q&As?
  8. Joc looked like he would hit about 5 HRs in the final round if he made it. I didn't even see Vlad sweating.
  9. Drop Goldschmidt Add Bellinger BENCH Drop Tatis Add Alonso

  11. Sofa all of five days ago: That's gotta be a misquote. There's no way Mojo knew who David Bote was 5 days ago.
  12. After an ill-advised trip to Beaumont by their adult pitchers, The Rockies will send out this small child to pitch today Diverting from the '89 Cubs, a special happy 47th birthday to Brooks Kies...VANCE LAW NO LONGER WEARS GLASSES
  13. They found him passed out drunk in the cargo hold of a FedEx plane? Is that it? Freddie Mitchell had his own plane?
  14. This is the longest Almora has gone between starts this season. He started 20 of 22 before this break, slashing .266/.310/.544
  15. As, Kindergarten Cop foretold, The Rockies aren't so tough without their Car. German Marquez is starting for the Rockies, so expect Justin Germano to get his first mention on a Cubs broadcast since we all swore to never speak of him again. Also to learn an interesting tidbit about Amed Rosario. Today's life lesson brought to you by present day Paul Kilgus. A little less mustache goes a long way.
  16. Fresh off a sweep of the Angels, Colorado comes to town. Jeff Hoffman was the 9th overall pick in the 2014 draft and has been terrible. Kyle Hendricks was the 264th overall pick in the 2011 draft and hasn't. Game Notes: Domingo Ramos hit .373 vs. LHP for the 1989 Cubs. Unfortunately Hoffman is a RHP and Ramos is 61 years old, so he's unlikely to get the start.
  17. Stupid time, stupid team. Stupid club for jerks. Bedrosian will pitch ~2 innings, then give way to Cahill who is bad again like he's been most of his non-Cub career. Lester has been about as bad as me throwing left-handed his last 3 starts D Fletcher ® SS M Trout ® CF A Pujols ® 1B T La Stella (L) 2B C Puello ® LF J Lucroy ® C K Calhoun (L) RF T Ward ® 3B C Bedrosian ® P K Schwarber (L) LF K Bryant ® 3B A Rizzo (L) 1B J Báez ® SS C González (L) RF W Contreras ® C J Heyward (L) CF A Russell ® 2B J Lester (L) P La Stella has gone 10 games without a HR which is his record as an Angel, and we get to face Mike Trout after he would've missed this game if it wasn't originally rained out. In conclusion, Curtis Wilkerson was a handsome man.
  18. I wonder how much of Kimbrel's contract we'll have to eat when we trade him next offseason in order to afford Russell's arb raise.
  19. What's the theory? He alone is getting stolen signs?
  20. IIRC, Gomez came from Baltimore and was brought in after Gary Scott failed and was later traded for an injured Kal Daniels who doubled in his 1st AB and could not run. Meh, I was wrong it was Buechele who came over then Gomez, then Orie. Kal Daniels did have the greatest Sports Machine highlight of all time
  21. But what was Doug Dascenzos ERA? Blutarsky
  22. I had the 89 Stats disk for Earl Weaver Baseball 2 so i could tell you the ERAs of most of those guys Assenmacher 3.99 Steve Wilson 4.20 Jeff Pico 3.77(?) Les Lancaster 1.36 I abused the hell out of this guy
