  1. Indiana almost with a hilarious choke job. They were up 27 with 8:20 left and led by 3 with 4 seconds left.
  2. Don't understand, a couple of years ago Alan Griffin got two games for stepping on someone, Kofi gets three for selling t-shirts, should have been at least two games. I wonder if Howard' anger was the result of what happened earlier in the game. Davison threw an elbow into Dickinson' gut, officials reviewed and deemed it a "basketball" play yeah, in prison rules basketball, it was a cheap shot. Wisconsin always seems to have a player pushes the boundaries a bit Well that player has been Brad Davison for 5 years
  3. 1 game for players who threw punches seems awfully light
  4. Martelli won 1 tourney game his last 15 seasons at St. Joe's
  5. Trent's the only one who can even halfway consistently create for others, and he's playing 40 minutes chasing around the opponent's best guard every game. And he can't come out because nobody else can run the offense. Curbelo is desperately needed.
  6. They didn’t just not score. The Illini got the rebound and tossed it all the way down the court for a dunk. Rough game. Kofi didn’t get a lot of help on the offensive side of the court. They need Curbelo to finally come back. Frazier looks gassed out there. I don't know what's the deal this season however, an inappropriate number of bad calls have gone against the Illini this season. They're not even of the questionable variety, the Illini are getting called for fouls when they literally don't touch the opposing player, no calls when one of their players gets hit in the head multiple times - Nebraska and, of course, Edey on Kofi. I know this tends to even out hence, there should many favorable calls in the Illini' future. Trent was fouled while in mid-air for a driving shot, and inexplicably wasn't given free throws.
  7. He has less than 1,000 followers
  8. At least they called a foul on Edey for that elbow right?
  9. Stetson Bennett, Carson Beck, and Brock Vandagriff?
  10. Vuc barely played that year.
  11. Everyone harping on A-Rod having a separate broadcast, when they're hiring Michael horsefeathering Kay?
  12. This is more true for sports with short seasons where every game could tilt the outcome of the season. A 162 game season means that the stakes are relatively low on a per-game basis, and there isn't much the commissioner can do to juice ticket sales for a random Reds v Pirates game. I'm genuinely confused, is this a bit? If the Reds and Pirates are in 1st/2nd place in September their attendance will be very different than if they're playing out the string in the cellar. The Pirates drew a million more fans per year during their playoff runs than they did in their 4th/5th place finishes a couple years later. That's a fair question, I don't know. It'd definitely be a change in those specifics, and while I think fans are used to thinking in multi-year timelines already(given how many of them understand and/or approve of teams optimizing draft position and years of team control) and would acclimate to a new norm pretty quickly, it's possible they wouldn't. In other sports the idea of division/conference record mattering separately from other games outside that group doesn't seem to be too alienating, at least. You're ascribing the beliefs of the online obsessive fan to your average dumbass.
  13. BU update on Curbelo in today's postgame, says he's cleared medically to play, just have to get his conditioning right. I didn’t hear this in his post, do you have a link? Now the Illini have a 4 day layoff followed by a game in Nebraska, seems like a good spot to get him some burn off the bench leading up to a game vs Michigan following.
  14. Kansas missed 20 consecutive shots to close out the first half against OK State, and was tied. Would go on to win.
  15. Why do people frequently try to propose changing the structure of American sports to match the format of less popular(in the US) sports
  16. NC State is still trying to play a delayed version of the bowl game, trying to find an opponent
  17. Likely because of that schedule, the Falcons do not have much of a shot at the 7 seed. They lose tiebreakers to every other team in the running, so they're eliminated with a loss @ Buffalo in Week 17. Even winning that and beating New Orleans, there are 2 spots for: San Fran(Needs to win vs. HOU or @ LAR or tie twice) Philly (Needs to win @ WAS or vs. DAL or tie twice) Minnesota(Needs to win @ GB and vs. CHI)
  18. Get the boys ready Bret
  19. Seems IA St took notes that you shouldn’t just stop advancing the ball when Iowa provides 3/4 pressure
  20. 2004 alone could be several episodes. Culminating in the clusterf finish to the season. People honestly like to relive disasters
  21. I feel bad when somebody has a legitimate question or looking for feedback and they get a bunch of cynical jokes. Any chance you can get the DuCross brothers on though?
  22. That’s 4 in a row against Iowa
  23. There is not a single season during the CFP era where Notre Dame would benefit from being in the Big Ten West. They may well have lost their spot in 2018 though.
  24. Sounds like playoffs
