Their rosters at AAA and AA aren't in great shape either. It's Davis and a bunch of relievers and not much else. But don't call it a rebuild. They're in such a weird situation. It's not really a rebuild and its definitely not really a retool. Like mentioned its probably a high floor team (though could get derailed with injuries due to lack of depth - Miley already scheduled to miss 3-4 weeks is not a great start), but they also have the ability to add like $70m in salary like nothing and still not be top 5 in baseball. If the team shows potential maybe they go nuts at the deadline because as critical as I am about the Rickett's insane cheapness I'm confident they are using the Jerry Reinsdorf playbook of "I'm willing to spend big money if the team is a contender". I know this is 3 days later, but "As critical as I am about Ricketts cheapness, I just know deep down inside they have the free-spending spirit of Jerry Reinsdorf" is just the saddest thing I've read on here since that girl got eyeliner on Roast's Nakamura jersey.

The other 1 seeds were Kansas coached by Bill Self, Gonzaga with Stephen Gentry and Roger Powell on the staff, and Baylor. They were given 13 seed Chattanooga rather than 13 seed Akron coached by John Groce. They were in a bracket with 2 seed Villanova rather than 2 seed Kentucky with Orlando Antigua and Chin Coleman on staff, 2 seed Auburn coached by Bruce Pearl, or 2 seed Duke coached by Chicago native Coach K.

He dribbled the ball in the backcourt before falling down, if it wasn't a foul it had to be a backcourt violation. Unless the defense deflects the ball, any touch of the ball in the backcourt by the offense is a violation. I also think his toe was on the halfcourt line just before the dribble which would also be a violation.

With how the Pac-12 and ACC played in 2021 and 2022, I'll be riding whatever P6 conference is considered garbage next year, and will get destroyed for it.

The strategy in the tournament was the same. Turner ran a montage on defending Kofi and it was just guys smacking him on the arm over and over. They weren't alone, Baylor was allowed to foul Carolina over and over without a whistle because they were down big and then the refs rode the momentum.

They’re just not consistent enough to string together four wins against good teams. Unfortunately, I don’t see them getting to the second weekend. As fantastic as Underwood has been in turning this program around, he’s eventually going to have to go on a tournament run. He’s 0-5 in getting to the second weekend of the tournament for his career. If he doesn’t alter that trajectory, discontent is going to start creeping in. Do you really think it’s instructive to hold his time at Stephen F Austin against him not having a sweet 16? His tourney performance 2nd round as a 12 1st round as 12 2nd round as 14 1st round as 10 2nd round as 1 It’s literally last years flameout you can hold against him

He's an A&M fan. They should get in IMO. Beating Auburn should be weighed heavily at this point of the season. The question becomes is Michigan still in or do they need to start worry about not making it now? Yeah, A&M has to be in, Auburn is/was a 1 seed. That's a huge win. I don't know what to think about Michigan. They somehow went 1-1 against everyone in the conference. They have plenty quality wins, but I feel like they may punish Howard for his "punch" and keep them home. They went 0-2 against Illinois

Providence is 10-1 in games decided by 6 points or less. Wisconsin is 14-1 in games decided by 6 points with their only loss coming to Providence. This is not sustainable.
