  1. Seriously what is with them? Some games they look like a tournament team, other games they lose to freakin SE Louisiana.
  2. Reasons why we should honor that douchebag over Sammy?
  3. Wheaton is NAIA, no? From the looks of their website, they're DIII. On another note, the Braggin' Rights game is Tuesday. I can't wait. Maybe we can win for the first time in a thousand years. Maybe you can't!! Ohhhhhhhhh
  4. I'm not lazy, just didn't know where on ESPN's site it was. Thanks! Whatever lazy.
  5. And for the really lazy, go to http://espn.com/fantasy On the main page will be a link to college bowl mania. Join NSBB league with password NSBB.
  6. espn.com/fantasy it will be right on the front page.
  7. I couldn't find where to post my picks so here. SF +10 Dallas -3 Miami +1 Washington +10 Carolina +2.5 Tampa +13.5 NYJ +3.5 Baltimore -11 Tennessee +3.5 New England -11 Detroit +5 Denver -2.5 St. Louis +1 Philly +5.5 San Diego -9 Indy -3
  8. I'm guessing a lot of people don't check the fantasy forum. Here's the info on the bowl confidence pool. There's only 5 people in it right now and neither Cuse nor any of the SEC people are in it. Where's the fun in that? viewtopic.php?t=37158
  9. This deal was all about Mats having no desire to go back to Japan with his hat in his hand. Barring injury or collapse he would've made at least 10M more just by waiting for his free agency.
  10. Dempster blew 2 saves in '05 and the Cubs won both those games. Obviously, he meant '04. I thought he might've meant that, but there's still a point to be made there. The Cubs didn't get the proven closer for '05, and they wound up winning EVERY game he came in to close. The Cubs "proven closer" went down in '03 and some bum who was AAA fodder the year before became a great closer that year.
  11. My plan of waiting for everyone else to fall under 500 and claim victory doesn't look to be working. Maybe I'll remember picks this week.
  12. In./bump.
  13. he really wasn't much better than Marshall last year, and most people seem willing to give away sean for just about anything. Thank you.
  14. Dempster blew 2 saves in '05 and the Cubs won both those games.
  15. I really am shocked that Maceo Baston is in the NBA.
  16. So has anyone mentioned Suzy Kolber's mullet yet?
  17. Non tendering anybody who isn't horrible seems like a huge mistake in this market. You're telling me you can't pick the exact team that the player will do the least damage to you in the future and get some A ball relief prospect in return for these guys?
  18. I think Goose Gossage is available.
  19. If Marshall's still in the organization by the end of '07, I think I"m going to be annoyed. He can definitely build some interest with a good year in AAA, but I really don't think he's going to build up his value much more than it is now. I'm not big on him at all, and think by the end of the year he'll have been passed on the depth chart by not just Marmol and Guzman, but a couple others as well.
  20. Probably because there isn't very many good players. Why wait forever for some mythical cornacopia of flawless free agents that will all be availavle at reasonable prices? Seems pretty silly to me. With the huge influx of money, teams have gotten stupid and spent too much of their money on guys like Marquis. But what teams are also doing with these huge wads of money is not letting their key guys touch free agency. The Albert Pujolses, the Carlos Zambranos, the Roy Oswalts, these types of talents just aren't going to be seeing free agency anymore until there's a big market correction, or should they actually survive 6 full seasons on a dirt cheap team like the Marlins.
  21. Well the Orange Bowl crew doesn't look terrible.
  22. Somebody mentions this idea every offseason, and every next offseason the free agent class sucks again.
  23. I'm drunker than Cubbies and this deal makes me want to shoot somebody. Probably Hendry.
  24. jamar smith when playing well is my favorite basketball player of all time. It's gonna take some special moments for somebody to pass Jack Ingram for me. But Jamar is definitely my favorite on this year's team, and probably last's too. Jack Ingram has Kent status. The Wisconsin game is the beginning and the end of the conversation. I suppose that probably should have been made clear before this converation was started. My apologies. And he didn't even rest on his laurels after that making THE STEAL against Arizona.
  25. Again it looked like RPI that did them in with 73 and 49 respectively those 2 years. In case anyone doesn't know about the site, kenpom.com is a great source for up to date RPIs along with a quick way to find a teams schedule and results to date.
