I doubt Barrett comes cheap in the offseason. Somebody will pay him decent money and likely in the AL where he can DH. Who would pay Barrett big money to DH? His bat isn't that valuable by DH standards. Pretty sure he meant to keep him fresh, like 80-100 games at catcher, 40-60 at DH. -
Wonder if Schmidt gets called a headcase and a vagina.

The question is, were you saying Barrett called a great game Hill's last time out when he was a stud? It doesn't seem fair if Barrett's going to be questioned every time a pitcher throws a stinker and given no credit when a pitcher throws a gem.

You know who else were losers? Those gutless choking St. Louis Cardinals of '06. They tried so hard to give away the division to mediocre teams through their gutless choking. At least they got theirs in the end when they had to play legitamate teams who wouldn't lose to unclutch teams in the playoffs.

so he has to win a world series and the reason he hasn't so far is because he trades his prospects that failed to win him a world series? he's only averaged about 93 wins and a playoff appearance every other year... boy i'd hate that Yeah, going to playoff games nearly every year totally sucks. I wish they would spread them out more, like the cubs do. It makes them more special that way.

Everett is the best defensive SS in baseball and Mark Loretta probably should've stopped playing SS about 6 years ago. This is going to make a HUGE difference on defense. -
My guess is Hill made a better impression on Piniella than Soto in ST for whatever reason. So of course they'd go off of what happened then compared to their AAA stats.

Barrett doesn't have the usual miles on him since he was drafted as a SS. It's why heading into this year I was okayish with him signing a 3 year extension or so.

Eyre would certainly be offered a minor league deal elsewhere, and he'd definitely go somewhere else to play in AAA than stay for us. Guys don't get DFAd and decide to stick around and work their way back to the majors when they're 35. They go to somebody else's AAA team for a few weeks, get up to the majors for 3 weeks, still suck, and retire.

I can't take this attitude. If I didn't get worked up over them, then I wouldn't care, at which case why bother watching? Also: Tying Run on 2nd, nobody out for Detroit vs. Milwaukee.
