  1. And Daniel Orton asking out of UK. W00t. Scout.com's story listed Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, USC ( :-s ), UCLA ( :-s ), Kansas and Memphis as possibilities. Orton supposedly loves KU and Manning. And Manning is very high on him. But I have no idea where he would fit in. We have about 42 big men, we're already over the limit on schollies I think. And if he get X, that would take us out of the running. Still, the Scout national recruiting guru has indicated KU is interested. If you're over the limit on schollies how are you fitting Henry in?
  2. That's Jeff Loria's personal motto.
  3. As far as must sees in the stadium, there's not really much to speak of. Wrigley is no frills, and the sites to see are the ones that are part of the stadium(ivy, scoreboard, rooftops, etc.) For outside the stadium stuff, it depends if you want to go to a stereotypical Wrigley bar(Murphy's, Haray Caray's, , or if you'd rather have a little breathing room and relax a bit.
  4. 500 is not the upper deck box, it's the top half of the upper deck. They're still really good seats though, Wrigley upper deck is closer to the field than most ballparks. 1st row in the top half will have no obstruction. The benefit of sitting in that section is you get way less douchebags than you would in the bleachers.
  5. I believe it's just rumor, but Henry's dad turned down Memphis.
  6. I felt much the same way, but I wanted Mike Williams, so I'm an idiot too.
  7. Yeah, he really, really isn't very good right now. I was a little bit disappointed about him entering. But, supposedly he comes from a poor family, so I definitely can't blame the guy. If Turner comes back it would be awesome, though. :) Yeah he reminded me of JaJuan in his freshman year in regards to toughness. You could see JaJuan had potential but he was physical enough to be effective consistently. Mullens could really benefit from another year but if its a money thing I completely understand. Difference is Mullens has an NBA body now, and Johnson, a year older, still doesn't. okay, but having an NBA body doesn't mean you can play. The parade of 7 foot white goons the NBA has seen is pretty laughable. How many are any good? Not many, which is why teams need to keep drafting 7', 270 guys because "you can't teach size" I fully admit I'm an Eddy Curry hater, but Mullens is far more skilled than Curry was when he was drafted. I don't think Matta used him properly this year. They already play a paper thin zone, there's no reason he couldn't have stayed out there on the block all game. There was nobody in the Big 10 that could compare to his size. If I were a big man, I'd have to question going to OSU. I don't think Oden was ever used properly either. Oden should have dominated the college game. Is Mullens a project? For sure. But he's also 19 years old, and can score. Whether he can ever play acceptable defense on the NBA level, or maintain his size while being conditioned to play 30 minutes a game over an 82 game season is the question.

  10. This was only halfway obnoxious by the way, I'm literally excited about our competition in the Central meaning we probably have the best odds out of any team in the majors to make the playoffs.
  11. It was #1 in the CubinNY in Memphis market too. #3 in Muncie.
  12. http://www.draftexpress.com/rankings/NCAA-Seniors/ :hello: ETA: Jamelle Cornley not even in their top 80 seniors. Ouch. Good luck in Greece, Jamelle He's a 6'5" power forward, he'd get eaten alive.
  13. Harangody would be stupid to not test the waters. He's a junior, there's no harm in going to the camps and then removing your name.
  14. Tell Meph to knock it off.
  15. They won 86 games. They WERE good. The only reason they finished 4th is because they played in an awesome division. They didn't "go away". We just were lucky enough to have an unbelievable season. If they win 86 games again this season that means they're probably in the division race right to the end. I don't think they'll be as good as last year, but I think it's ridiculous to ever write that team off at this point. They're the Cardinals. Did I write them off? I'm just not gonna sit here and piss my pants like the rest of you because the Cardinals won some divisions 5 years ago.
  16. I don't doubt that those buffoons said MSU had 1 senior, but it's not true. Suton and Walton are graduating as are bench guys Ibok and Gray.
  17. just wait until November They don't televise the NBDL.
  18. Rather see him run over by a bus.
  19. Frasor went to my high school. So at least there's that.
  20. Shocked that Kellogg didn't realize the shot clock reset until some producer whispered it in his ear. QUIT PROTECTING THAT BACKWOODS HICK
  21. Haha, that is not a foul on Lucious.
