Digger Phelps is full on hard. UNC is playing even better than they did the first game against MSU. MSU is playing really sloppy with the ball, but are still playing better than that game. UNC will probably go cold at some point, but it doesn't matter, MSU doesn't have the shooters to get themselves back into it.

Opening day is almost always the same day as the NCAA title game. I dont think thats true. Opening day is about a week later than normal this year. It's been true for at least several years. Yup, I remember watching the Cubs crushing the DBacks in 2005 and then watching the Illini in the NC game. (sorry for the reminder Illini fans) That was an expensive day. Had to get in a bar by 3:00 before they capped entry. Then the game was cancelled. -

I thought you could do better than that, since I haven't said anything about MSU in years. I win $100 if they win tonight, so Go Green. I legitamately wanted a Go White response, and you and possibly NewUserName are the only MSU fans I could think of. Sparty, Yeah!

Yes. I'm tired of hearing how the Big 10 is boring. During the late 80s they tried to run n gun stuff with Tom Davis at Iowa, the Flying Illini and the fab 5 and never won anything. Now it seems like a big 10 team makes the fianl 4 just about every year. But out here it's all ACC is awesome, blah blah blah. IDK..Michigan won the NT in 89 and the Flying Illini were clearly the 2nd best team that year(actually smoked Michigan twice during the season but lost to them in the final 4). So I wouldnt say they never won anything. And who won the Big Ten that year...? Hmm... Hint: Neither the National Champions nor the "2nd best team" (who was actually likely the best). Was that the last conference title you guys won?

That woulda sucked, cause it'd be back to worrying about committed recruits until they signed the letter. As long as Illinois doesn't lowball him, I don't think he's leaving until he gets a nice head coaching gig.

I like your style Raisin. I win money if UNC wins, but if Mich St wins Big Ten wins some credibility. Im in a no lose situation I guess UNC 78 MSU74 Same here, $80 2nd place with a UNC win(pretty much solely cause I was the only person in my pool to put MSU in the finals), but go Sparty. (I was obnoxious as all hell on Saturday night with my Michigan State hat on yelling Sparty, Yeah! I think I'll repeat that tonight, only less drinky) Off topic, did you get a chance to catch DJ yesterday SSR? Im excited! I saw him in the semis(Saturday I think) I'm starting to believe that he starts day 1.

Now it seems like a big 10 team makes the fianl 4 just about every year. But out here it's all ACC is awesome, blah blah blah. Indiana won it all in '87 and Michigan won it all in '89. For Final 4 appearances over most any stretch of time it's ACC and Big 10 and nobody else even close. Big 10s are spread over a few teams, while ACC is UNC and Duke and nobody else.
