    oh give me a [expletive] break You were saying? Right or wrong, managers (head coaches) "protect" their players and players seem to appreciate it. Will it make the team better...no. But it happens.

    How in the world doesn't Renteria or a coach get thrown out of the game after those calls against Rizzo? I know it wouldn't accomplish anything, but it probably should have happened.

    I don't know which is worse, watching bad pitchers shut down the Cubs or watching terrible hitters get key hits.

    It is fun watching the Cubs hit guys like Wainwright but struggle against a guy who has never been good. Wow, Edwin. I guess if you are going to throw a wild pitch, make it a good one.

    While it is very early...It is looking like Theo and Jed are 0-2 on their manager choices.

    In McCutchen's defense, he was playing in left center and the throw went into right center. He had a long run just to get to the ball but his throw was terrible.

    I know Pittsburgh's offense doesn't look to be very good, but the pitching was a pleasant surprise the first series.

    Why was Olt removed? A double switch is one thing, but to replace Olt doesn't seem to make much sense.

    I don't understand why Cub pitchers who can throw 95mph are so afraid to pitch inside. An inside fastball to Grienke or Crawford probably ends the inning. Then he does it to Puig and gets a weak ground ball back to the mound.
