    Mundy had already lost his starting job and was in danger of being cut as it was, so this nor Jennings is a big deal. Also interesting that Mundy went from "close to returning" to IR in a span where he wasn't practicing/playing. I assume this is the Bears sparing themselves a cap hit/penalty that would have come from releasing him outright.

    Last couple days have been pretty good for the Kris Bryant ROY campaign. Franco out for the year, so that's it for him. Grichuk will miss about 20 games, which has to hurt his chances as well. Looks to me like his biggest competition at this point is probably Matt Duffy, who is batting over .300 with a 4.1 WAR. Oh and Schwarber, of course.
