  1. Who is that standing between Grimm and Motte? He looks funny.
  2. [tweet] [/tweet] Just Fox being Fox I'm sure.
  3. 1 Hendricks. It was Bryant's 2nd game, he reached in 5 out of 6 ABs which included his first career hit. Cubs won in 11 innings on a Castro walk-off single. A good day.
  4. That was probably the most sensible piece I've read on the Bears in a year or more.
  5. Coghlan looks like a [expletive] woman surrounded by all that brawn.
  6. Are you drunk? The Bears can't beat Oakland if Mack and Smith are sitting on Clausen's head repeatedly. The Raiders are on the come up. I would like Goff as our next QB, however I am leaning towards BPA for a top 5 pick. The Bears cant afford anymore busts. Sidenote: Did Emery do anything right? All of his picks pretty much blow except for a Guard. Yeah, because I was totally serious.
  7. Well we weren't going to win this game even with Cutler, and we can beat Oakland with Clausen. Then Jay will return to lead the 1-3 Bears to back-to-back road wins at KC and DET. Season back on at 3-3, you'll see.
  8. Lol. It has nothing to do with not being grateful for a playoff berth, it has to do with having a really [expletive] good team at the same time two division rivals are also really [expletive] good. If this was 5 years ago and we'd miss the playoffs altogether, I'd be all the more pissed off. It's definitely possible, if not probable, to only get the 2nd WC with 97 wins. The Pirates only need to go 8-4 over their last 12, even if 2 of those losses are to the Cubs at Wrigley, to end up at 98. Breaking news: it's possible to enjoy and appreciate being in the playoffs, and yet still be annoyed at not being in a better position going in.
  9. I think any of us have the right to be upset that 95-97 wins is only going to get us a one-game playoff on the road.
  10. Does this dude have any inside knowledge on Jeffery's injury that we havent heard? And he did this before Cutler got hurt? (not that he would be droppable in that scenario either but at least slightly more understandable) I highly doubt he knows anything about Jeffery that we don't. He made the move Sunday morning before kickoff, so before the Cutler injury. And while he's been playing with us for years, he consistently finishes near the bottom of the league. I assume he's stayed around so long because he's a very active manager, just not a good one. Oddly enough, he's 2-0 to start the season.
  11. Some idiot in my league inexplicably dropped Alshon Jeffery for Cole Beasley after Jeffery was ruled out Sunday, despite having a plethora of other WR options on his bench. This guy has been playing since the inception of the league, so he's practically a fantasy veteran at this point. Now my rival, who currently has the #1 waiver priority, is going to win Jeffery this week when the glaring weakness on his team is WR. [expletive].
  12. As one of Cutler's biggest supporters on NSBB I'd gladly carry out a sith betrayal for Jared Goff.
  13. I don't think it's wrong to complain about your team being bad, but I do feel sorry for anyone who expected a different result beginning the season with 3 playoff caliber teams while not having healthy WRs, and your QB now hurt. I for one think the offense is a decent step better than it was last year. Of course it'll take us nowhere as long as our defense remains as it is, but it's something I guess.
  14. I'm sure Mel Tucker is loving this.
  15. I can't even imagine this offense with White in it.
  16. I don't know what was worse, not hiring Arians or drafting Fuller. Either way, [expletive] you Emery.
  17. He just came back the other day. Go check how he did in his first start Not sure I need to... 2 baserunners in 7 shutout innings, 10 strikeouts Lmfao. Before that he had thrown a total of 75 innings since 2009. Good for you, Rich Hill, good for you.
  18. Anyone got an updated Castro OPS-o-meter? I want .700!
  19. HAHAHAHAHA. CASTRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Not hard to figure out this guy's nickname in high school.
  21. Seriously, is Wada dead? Last pitched on 9/4. There's no way he's not a significant upgrade over Haren.
  22. C'mon you [expletive] Cup of Ross.
  23. So this is what it's like to irrationally hate a player. I guess I owe all those who irrationally hate Coghlan an apology.
  24. God damnit Jeffery. Hopefully he can tough it out and at least be a decoy against Peterson.
