  1. I just wish the offense could score more than three runs a game. Hell, I guess I'd take three right now.
  2. Let's hope that wasn't our chance to put up a crooked number and now Gio dominates the rest of the way.
  3. His approach is much, much better so far. Hopefully he can keep that discipline.
  4. Len just mentioned Fernandez. Thought it was Gomez.
  5. This. Obviously great teams will most often beat up on bad teams, but we aren't a great team. I don't think you quite got what he was saying based on your two sentences. I did, even though it may not sound like it.

  7. It's the 3rd [expletive] inning. What makes me sad is that I feel more like last year now when they get down by four. Like they just don't have enough guys to get us back into it. Totally different then the beginning of the season, when I never thought any deficit was too much to overcome.
  8. Except then they beat the Nats 3 out of 4 because that's what they do.
  9. Or just been a tick more urgent with Dee Gordon running.
  10. The first out will be the biggest for the Cubs tonight. If Dee Gordon gets on to lead off, it's a run.
  11. I was thinking the same thing. 14 run/15 hit outburst from the I Cubs, and Javy and Schwarber had but a measly single each. Mendy was 2-5 with a 2B, but also 3 K. On the plus side, McKinney with a 2B and 3BB and Villanueva was a single short of the cycle. I don't know why I keep thinking that he's in the 25-26 bracket, when he's only 6 months older than Javy. Not that it's a big deal or that it changes your point, but I'm pretty sure Villanueva is more like 18-20 months older than Javy.
  12. Sweet. One more extra base hit and he will have as many XBH's as walks.....and Starlin doesn't really walk.
  13. I mean he's been pretty bad for 5 years (even though he's nevertheless gotten an inexplicable amount of playing time) and he's 41. Would you be surprised if he was? Of course it wouldn't surprise me. Just asking. I only know like two Marlins so I have no idea where he is in the pecking order. Yeah, the Marlins' offensive talent is the outfield. Would love to see ichiro get to 3,000 though.
  14. Wow. That's a high school error right there.
  15. It's like facing an All star team where closer after closer keeps coming on for the Royals.
  16. We've got Edwin who can go three or four if we need him to. I can't find the blue font on my phone.
  17. It just seems like even making contact against Wade Davis is extremely difficult for any MLB team.
  18. With two outs, I'm OK with the aggressiveness.
  19. It is 1-0 in the top of the 6th, get a grip. I know it might sound crazy, but I think he's right. ah hem Yup. What a stupid prediction by that guy who started it all. :D
  20. I'm just appreciative that they actually tied it.
