    Rosenthal was just on MLBN, he said he talked to an agent (not Boras or anyone with him/Scherzer) and that agent said he wouldn't be surprised if we still get Scherzer. FWIW.

    I'm not really sure what the Braves are doing, but Valbuena and Wood both have years of relatively cheap team control so it seems like they would be interested in them. Cubs would have to give them a legit prospect as well. I think at least Almora would have to be added to that package

    Is there any way Kuroda could be persuaded into a 1 year contract to come here? I know he's 40 and apparently is set on NY/LA or nothing, but he still is getting results. I'd rather give him a big 1 year contract than any sort of "fliers" on a guy like Anderson or signing Shields.

    Lowe with an article today saying the NBA is looking to extend the season 10 days to get rid of a few back-to-backs for each team along with either shortening pre-season and/or allowing for more "organized offseason activity" like the NFL. Right now they are pretty strict with players/coaches getting together in the offseason.
