  1. That would mean they think Russell will be ready sooner rather than later, wouldn't it? Don't think that has much to do with anything. Starlin should/will play almost every day, even if Baez were to some reason start in AAA, Valbuena, La Stella, and Alcantara could all play SS to some degree if needed in an emergency or for an off day for Castro here and there.
  2. Posturing to swindle St. Louis/Missouri into giving them more public money for a stadium, imo.
  3. When will we do out NSBB top prospect list? Always a fun thing to do.
  4. I wasn't saying it was out of character, was just noting that despite a 7-8% bb rate and a .330's BABIP he still is only getting on base at a .315ish rate. Basically he shouldn't be the leadoff/OBP guy we are allegedly looking for, because he's just kinda okay at getting on base.
  5. Bourn hasn't posted an OBP above .316 the last two years and that was with a 7-8% bb rate and a mid .330's BABIP, he's 32-33. Steamer is projecting a .250/.310/.350 line from him roughly, we can probably get that out of Coghlan. No thanks.
  6. Yeah, I mean it shouldn't be a big deal. But if anything only headaches/something bad can come out of it, poor PR. IMO if he's considering a run
  7. Castillo as a centerpiece isn't a laugher, Wood is probably more of a 3rd piece in a deal for him. But Castillo, 1 of CJ/PJ, and Wood seems reasonable/fair.
  8. Thompson has had his fair share of misses, especially recently. They already cut their 2013 first round pick, Datone Jone. It helps having Jesus incarnate as your QB. When did they cut Datone??? My mistake, it wasn't him. They cut some some recent high draft pick before the year that was kinda an indictment on Ted being too cute, according to Wisconsin sports radio.
  9. Maybe it's a sign I should stop betting when I bet the under on a game a team sets the playoff record for fewest yards and the game still manages to go over.

  11. Seth Smith for Maurer is done. Mariners have a nice platoon with him and Ruggiano
  12. Didn't know if this was posted before,
  13. I've seen all the BIG teams play this year, assuming health, I don't see Wisconsin losing more than 2 conference games.
  14. Looks like Seth Smith to the Mariners is happening, Nightengale says it could be for Brandon Maurer.
  15. Bryant, Soler, Russell, Pederson, Urias?
  16. Ha! Well done. Ha, I think that would be close to enough though. I'd be fine with any 2 out of Castillo, Hendricks, Edwards, PJ, Vogelbach, Underwood, Tseng, Black, or whoever else they like that falls into like mid teens-mid 20's for us for him with one of the others above mentioned. I think I'd be fine including Almora in a deal for him too.
  17. We are probably a better team with him starting at 2B to begin the year than we are with Mr. Winter league there
  18. Really like Colts -4.
  19. So what's his k% at? It has to be high 40's-50%
  20. Cleveland?
  21. hmmm....sending a message to Starlin or legit worried? Call me crazy but maybe they're worried about our young 2B striking out 60% of the time in winter league and are realizing it would be wise to bring in another option for 2B.
  22. The Cavs only scored 80 points last night and lost by 23 at home vs Detroit. They really aren't that good
  23. Oakland seems like a good fit. He'll get a chance to draft a nice piece for his D right off the bat and the QB already looks to be in place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You could say the same thing about Atlanta, except the offense is much better and a known commodity.
