  1. I was hoping we made some big move that the traffic was taking the site down when I couldn't get in this afternoon. I'm disappointed.
  2. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the 4 TO's have something to do with that
  3. Unless he's transferring out of Division 1, he'd have to sit out a year and be two years from the draft. Right but he'd sit a year, then play a year and be like every other 5th year draft eligible QB. Though transferring to a top FCS program would be an interesting move. I REALLY think that's not a rule anymore. He is immediately eligible. Yes it is, Jones would have to sit out a year if he transfers to any D1 program. Braxton doesn't have to because he graduated and can do the grad school thing like Russell Wilson did.
  4. Have they definitely said JT is gonna be their starter next year?
  5. What the hell is on ESPNU, who is watching that?
  6. For the moment, they're on pace for the under. Wait until the defenses get tired They gotta really get going to hit the over at this rate, it was 72.
  7. I know one of the Badgers players, he texted me after they lost at Rutgers tonight and he said they are pretty sure their PG, Jackson, broke his foot/ankle. Big loss for them if true.
  8. I'm not sure I want Longoria (unless the price was fairly low). He's almost 30, with a crapload of years left (what is it ... 7 more?) Sure the price is reasonable (really don't know the AAV off the top, but it wasn't huge ... albeit, if it's a typical contract, it's climbing), but there seems to be some signs of decline. At best, you have to figure 2-3 more years of prime performance, if he hasn't peaked already. Just not sure it's worth the risk. I'm definitely not against trading guys ... just think there would be a better option. Maybe I'm in the minority on Longoria, though. He's signed for 8 more years, but it's incredibly reasonable. The AAV over that period is like $14-15 million.
  9. It's bold. Mad would be fair as well. If some things go right and they are a bit lucky, it's possible they are in the playoff hunt. It's really not a bad roster, and in the era of the 2nd Wild Card, it's really not as incredulous as it sounds, despite the moves they've made this offseason. I wouldn't bet on it, but if they get some hitting .... If not, he could probably spin Zobrist off to a desperate deadline team. Still, giving up Robertson after giving up Russell is ... bold/mad. Yeah I think with this move he's gotten the offense to about where it was last year. If their pitching holds up and they get a little luck/health/bounce back on offense (Butler/Lawrie/Davis) they should be right in the thick of it.
  10. I wonder what it would take to get Longoria, I would think he'd be moved within the next year or so. Baez, Almora, Hendricks, Vogelbach (if they value him as a DH) and CJ/PJ? You could start this year with C: Montero 1B: Rizzo 2B: Valbuena SS: Castro 3B: Longoria LF: Denorfia/Coghlan CF: Alcantara RF: Soler by June you'd have Bryant in LF Then going into 2016 you'd have C: Montero 1B: Rizzo 2B/SS: Castro/Russell 3B: Longoria LF: Bryant CF: Alcantara (or a FA Heyward?) RF: Soler
  11. Zobrist is the perfect Oakland/Beane player.
  12. I haven't read anything to suggest that Carlos Martinez's scouting report has changed, and coming up the ladder, there were a few reports I recall seeing a few years ago saying he had two 80 pitches. Well then he's terrible at using those pitches to get good results. Kershaw doesn't even have 2, 80 pitches.
  13. I don't think there's a pitcher in baseball that has, or is projected to have two 80s pitches.
  14. After the trade for Hayward and Taveras' death what would they even have to make a Hamels trade happen?
  15. I'm guessing teams are going to be a little turned off from offering RGIII type hauls after how that's turned out. The Steelers could be an interesting team for him, if he does fall. Big Ben is getting old and his contract is up soon.
  16. Isn't there a definite advantage to take player (especially QB) in the first round in terms of controlling him longer? Maybe I'm way off, but I thought that was a big reason why Minnesota took Teddy with the last pick in the 1st.
  17. [expletive] the HOF and the BBWA
  18. I think the Gasol-Knicks rumors are pretty much based on, that on paper he's a perfect center for the triangle offense, they have max money and a need for a big guy. Not on any real substantiated rumors/facts.
  19. An .805 OPS back then was nothing special, god I miss those days.
  20. Jimmy is the man http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--i3ZccgKo--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/qiqzrgj1lff7jmqtyabt.gif
  21. He's definitely a main guy when he's right/plays, he's their starting center and a decent one. I don't have Nocode like connections, but I know someone who works for the Bucks. He said there's definitely something going on/something that's happened with him and the Bucks (basically inner fighting with FO/Players) and it will come out soon but the stuff of him not wanting to play/retire is all BS. He's a head case, but he knows he's guaranteed $44 million over the next 4 years and he's smart enough to not walk away from that or screw it up. They've been trying to trade him since 2 summers ago now, so he says.

  23. JR Smith to Cleveland, Waiters to OKC, Reggie Jackson to NY
  24. I would think New England would be interested. WR is becoming an incredibly deep position in the league tho, idk what his trade market would be like/what his value would be.
