  1. Had to look at this like 5 times to make sure it wasn’t an onion article

  3. This makes more sense right. This was before the Watson stuff. This would have been during Brady's final season in NE though so meeting with him before FA would be tampering which is why Flores refused? Tampering between players/coaches/owners/agents in sports is a big nothing for me at this point. It’s rampant in every sport. The other stuff in the story is far more important and egregious, imo.
  4. Seems like they were gonna miss some ST anyways and that really isn’t a big deal, imo, it’s too long and wouldn’t be surprised if the players are happy staying him an extra week or 3. Delaying ST may just be something they want and are dragging a bit.
  5. I’m surprised Reid doesn’t rank higher a worse coach with TO/challenge stuff. Seems like most games of KC I watch they’re always burning timeouts/use them recklessly and he challenges some weird stuff. Today alone his first half challenge was dumb and they obviously could’ve used another TO before half. That was a bad one.
  6. I think I wouldn’t mind something like 2, 8-10 min periods for OT. Home team gets ball first and then do like the soccer/hockey OT thing where they get a 20-30 min break before it starts to reset.
  7. Yup, just do a round between the first and second or second and third with additional picks for teams but don’t take picks away from teams. And yeah I’ve always liked Conforto and think he’d be an awesome add/fit for the team.
  8. The HOF sucks and is run by a bunch of self serving, self righteous fucks. We’ve long passed the line of it being a true measure of talent (clean or not). Treat it more as a museum and history of the game, bad actors or not.

  10. Meeting again tomorrow. Would assume that’s a decently good indication there’s been some progress/everyone getting along.
  11. Murray from around Halloween on has been one of the worst QBs in the league in that period since he’s been in the league, iirc. Some week around that point to the end of the season he’s seen a significant drop off every year.
  12. I think the 49ers have a good chance of knocking off GB Gotta play the games on the schedule and they went out and won, but the Packers haven’t played a good QB in almost 2 months. The last good QB they played was 11/28 against an injured Stafford in a cold Lambeau. Not saying Jimmy G is necessarily good or can’t be horrible. QBs the Packers have played since Thanksgiving, starting week 18. Goff, Mannion, Baker, Huntley, Fields, an injured Stafford in cold Lambeau. 4 of those 6 games were 1 score games too

  14. Yeah unless he’d really just like to be in Miami for the climate/culture/lifestyle and they offer him a ton more. The Bears and Jags seems like the only two teams he should consider, imo, from a football perspective. Can do a lot of Allen things with both Fields and Lawrence (think he deserves a pass for the year with that horsefeathers show) plus the Jags have a ton of picks and cap space. Both divisions aren’t particularly good either, especially if Rodgers leaves.
  15. They probably aren’t winning the championship and they’re 4 games clear of the 4/5 right now. A top 3 seed is all that really matters in terms of a first round win. That sets them up vs Cleveland, NY, Toronto, Charlotte, Washington or Boston. Don’t think there’s too big of gap in any of those teams that the 1-3 seed overly matters and getting/staying healthy is still much more important anyways.
  16. I'm thinking when they say not expected to miss significant time they mean like a week or so. Could be wrong though They should be more cautious then not, imo. Seeding isn’t that important, especially risking health for it. At least look at putting Lavine on a Kawhi/Embiid scheduled rest schedule for a while once he’s back. Teams literally have 12-15 “scheduled” losses a year. Taking it easy over the next month to get every right and healthy coming out of the break should be a priority.
  17. There’s probably like 15 games left until the ASB? Let Lavine sit until then and get like 30 days of real rest. Make a trade or two and then hit the ground running after the ASB.
  18. Amazing, and this is only in his 30-40 games with the Lakers this year. LMAO.
  19. Yeah that’s a very odd rule if it’s true and never heard of it before. I wonder if it’s some weird loophole that since Kyrie’s employer is NY based he’s required but since visiting teams aren’t NY based they can’t be mandated by a state/local rule?
  20. ESPN just took over the streaming services for PGA Tour Live. So, this has been available previously (last year was NBC Sports Gold and Amazon Prime) and still is as a subscription service. PGA Tour Live and the NBC thing were complete trash and not worth the money, both were ridiculously overpriced and hard to navigate.
  21. ESPN streaming full rounds of golf from the start has been an awesome addition. Don’t know why it took until 2022 to do this, but great to have and never made sense why they didn’t broadcast it somewhere. Up until last year half the field would basically be done for the day when the live broadcast came on.
  22. Top 25 but not top 15 or so? He’s going to be 22, so he probably is what he is at this point with less upside than some of the 18-19 year olds that FO’s love for upside. Even though guys like Ayo I think should be drafted higher every year as known quantities and picking based on age/unrealized upside is a bit overrated at this point if you aren’t picking inside the top 10/don’t have multiple picks.
  23. By the “traditional” standards of what the morons who run the HOF go by he falls short a little bit. Imo. But by modern metrics and standards he absolutely belongs in. If he doesn’t get in the bar to get in with where pitching is at and moving to will mean almost not pitchers ever get in.
