  1. The Molina stuck ball: http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/cardinals-surrender-lead-due-to-yadier-molina-being-ext-1794089040
  2. Did the Cardinals hire Joe Buck and John Smoltz as consultants this season? Run on those Cubs if you want to win the division! Please try Cardinals. I want to see more Javy tags and Contreras back-picks.
  3. I have a sudden urge to create a new account.
  4. I'd love to see a highlight video of all the caught-stealing and pickoffs we had in the playoffs. It was hilarious listening to Joe Buck and John Smoltz go on and on about how the other team should constantly steal on us as we continued to pickoff or throw out runners. Heck throw in some of the throws to home we nailed people on too.
  5. I was a nervous wreck before going to game 5 of the WS, and my wife was in worse shape. I have a horrible record of watching the Cubs live. They have lost about 80% of the games I have been to. After that beating in game 4, I was faced with the Cubs possibly losing the Series in the game I went to. :barf: I kept telling myself that even if they lost the Series that game, I was going to get to see the Cubs play in the World Series.
  6. Both the NLDS and the NLCS were awesome because of moments like Kershaw collapsing or Law crying. Those dagger moments when the other team finally realizes they are not going to win is so much fun. Sadly, we didn't quite get that in the WS thanks to the Indians being a much better team than the Giants or the Dodgers, but we did get to see Napoli blank staring at the celebration. I really wanted to see Kipnis crying after his trash talking before game 6 and game 7.
  7. This game was probably generally more exciting, but watching WS Game 5 in the bleachers with the KB homer and 2 2/3 innings of nothing but tension from Chapman was absolutely nuts as well. I would imagine any home playoff win this year would go down as the best game you'd ever been to though. I was also in the bleachers for Game 5 of the WS. The whole game was amazing. It was an elimination game. Lester starting, Chapman pitching forever, KB Homer, Heyward climbing the wall and the Rizzo/Ross bobble play. The game had everything a Cubs fan could want. It was such an amazing feeling after that horrible beating they got in game 4. Game 5 was also the turning point in the series. I mean a freaking WS game win at Wrigley! Not many can say that :yahoo:
  8. cut to the playoffs this year when dex hits a gapper and rounds the bases, bat still in hand, knee capping Rizzo, Russell, and Bryant Why wouldn't he kneecap Baez? Have you seen Baez's swim move?????? He would totally dodge it.
  9. I don't want Feldman, but the idea of having Scott Feldman, and possibly bouncing San Francisco out of the playoffs again, while poor Samardzija watches is on is highly amusing.
  10. This off-season has been so ho-hum after winning the World Series. Such a great euphoria of winning followed by a big snooze-fest.
  11. Going to miss Dex, he was fun. I really wish he had gone just about anywhere else though.
  12. Fardinals.
  13. Easy come...easy go...to the Rangers.
  14. It's an awfully expensive purchase in July. If Edwin Jackson, Fowler and Hammel are all coming off the books along with a few others like Cahill and Wood, I would imagine they could at least try to be competitive with offers on the top closers. I think they would rather save the long term commitment in $$$ for 2017 when Jake and Lackey come off the books and take their chances with a patchwork pen (that still includes guys like Rondon, Strop, Edwards and Grimm) and if it doesn't work out fix it at the deadline. It is expensive this way I agree, I just think the long term commitment preference is starting pitching. Maybe the Indians will be out of it by July and be willing to trade Andrew Miller.
  15. Kimmel with Bryant was better than Fallon. However, Fallon floated the rumor of Bartman throwing out the first pitch net season, but Fowler suggesting Moises Alou catch the pitch was awesome lol.
  16. I'm kinda hoping for laughs that the top 3 finalists for the CY are Arrieta, Lester and Hendricks. Gonna be Scherzer in there, though. I don't think it's gonna happen, but I'm really hoping Maddon wins MOY, just because of all the playoff criticism he's taken. Should drive people insane. Isn't Roberts the "consensus" pick? He really didn't look it during the NLCS.
  17. that's exactly where I am. The regular season was fun for about 110 games and then it was boring until October, where it was non-stop crazy and a perfect capper. I need a break before I'm committed to anything (including my family) like that again. Yup. It's weird to think about how a month of just watching and thinking and obsessing about baseball can be so exhausting, but this weekend was great just in how it felt like it was the first time in weeks I got some decent nights of sleep. This! It is so nice to be back to a regular sleep schedule. Being Eastern time zone was even worse. My productivity fell off a cliff for about 2 weeks. For the first few days I did find myself being sad there were no more games to win, but now I can just enjoy the championship.
  18. The Cubs convention is going to need a lot more space this year. It is going to be awesome!
  19. Ross up next on MLBN.
  20. He scored the winning run in the NLDS. Oops meant the WS.
  21. The 2 hours of sleep aren't helping me either, I am still just giddy when I see some new article, picture or video.
  22. That is a thing of beauty. Edit: Boo if photo-shopped.
  23. I can only imagine the outcome of our post season if he had even got 2 or 3 timely hits. He had 0 impact offensively. I am totally amazed we were able to completely hide his bat when just about every other single player either scored or drove runs in on offense. I was actually happy that he struck out there instead of turning it over to 2nd like he was so prone to do. I really hope he is able to turn it around this winter.
  24. Stupid Cobs couldn't even Win the Run Differential, totally blew it.
  25. Going to be a long weekend of watching games again and going through all the threads. It will be glorious!
