    I actually sort of care about this game. Can't say I will about the Cincinnati series. Would like to see Kyle pitch well. Added bonus of further crushing the Cardinals.

    Are you suggesting they would leave Montgomery off the roster if they take Lackey? Duensing would be left off before Montgomery.

    He left Hammel off the NLDS roster last year. I don't remember anyone really being buddies with Hammel. Lester would probably be pretty upset if Lackey is left off. It isn't quite David Ross retiring after the season, but Lackey is also retiring.

    I just can't see Joe leaving Lackey off the roster, no matter how much we want it. It would anger a lot of players on the team. Look how they were chanting Lackey yesterday during the celebration.

    i saw that earlier in the year against the cubs and i was confused. where does he usually sit? Average 94.9 on his 4 seam

    I voted Baseball because the randomness involved. Hockey playoffs are just brutal on the players. You see guys throwing their bodies at the puck. Most of the players are rather bruised and worn out by the time they get through it.

    I was thinking about that. If the Cubs win today, tomorrow's Brewers game starts at 6:40 and the Cubs at 7:15 so that would suck if the Brewers lost before we could win. But if we split the next 2 games and the Brewers win tomorrow, the Cubs game on Wednesday starts before the Brewers game. Why not just win tonight and tomorrow and celebrate? Doesn't matter what the Brewers do then.

    Koji has reverse splits. Monty, Duensing, Wilson should be enough given how much rest is built into the playoffs. I was thinking you wouldn't want to burn any of those 3 in a 1 off at-bat though. I also just checked the splits, and you are indeed correct.

    With Harper coming back tonight, I would imagine we would want to have another lefty in the pen. This is assuming Koji isn't dead. Martin doesn't seem like he really offers anything than a late inning defensive specialist or a pinch runner.
