nah, it was a bad play, but nothing worse than some other "great" left fielders have made. He'll be a DH on the downhill side of his career, but don't write him off on one play. He got a little lazy. My guess is it will motivate him. I don't think it is laziness. He just doesn't read the ball well or see it some times. If you watch the play again, you can clearly see him jogging before he realizes he is out of position and he tries to sprint to the ball. He routinely does this. Some of his more "spectacular" catches were because he was out of position on the ball and managed to run it down. -

The current 1 game playoff between the 2 wildcards is awesome. It is almost like people are forgetting about the Marlins twice backing in to the playoffs as the Wild Card and winning the World Series. The current format was designed to make it much more difficult for a Wild Card to win. The division winners should be rewarded and the overall best record team is rewarded playing the Wild Card winner. As others have said, it makes the regular season much more important. The NBA and NHL has over half of their leagues going to the playoffs, which generally makes the regular season a snooze fest. -
I believe they are. I remember listening to a game last year. You can also use International VPN or a service like delocator to watch the game.

Is Contreras running off the field or to back up third if the throw went into the outfield? He was running to the dugout. Full watch of it shows him going down the dugout stairs.
