  1. I really do think the lack of solid coverage of that team from local media for years is a big factor in what makes Cardinals fans the way they are. I get that the vast majority of baseball fans are complete morons, but I know literally hundreds of Cardinals fans and have never come across a single one that I feel I can carry any sort of baseball conversation with for more than a full minute before I'm rolling my eyes. And that conversation could be completely non-Cubs/Cardinals related. For those of us who have lived in the Cardinals media market we can appreciate that they have literally no insightful/non-homer analysis and have not for as long as I can remember.
  2. Since September 2 the Cubs are 13 GAMES better than the Cardinals (regular season). They also won a postseason series against them 3-1.
  3. and the whole an average game after 21 games is like a 4 run victory thing Haha. This is what it's like to cheer for the 2016 Chicago Cubs.
  4. Man, getting petty pissed after that Fowler play and then that Lester play. Trying to remember the whole 16-5 thing.
  5. I sold for well over face for almost every game. Lost a few dollars per ticket on a couple of the weeknight games. By far the best April I've had in the 5 years I've been a season ticket holder, but I did get rid of tickets before people knew the forecasts. Section? 229. Row 12
  6. I think I screwed myself over by waiting to get aggressive on pricing until this week. The weather forecast has completely killed the last minute market. I had them up since February for a couple bucks above face (which wasn't a ton given the tiers). Sold a bunch of games this way, but not the last couple. I had these for below face two days ago and less than half as of last night. No dice. I sold for well over face for almost every game. Lost a few dollars per ticket on a couple of the weeknight games. By far the best April I've had in the 5 years I've been a season ticket holder, but I did get rid of tickets before people knew the forecasts.
  7. Kind of weird, this Sunday's game is the first one I've had any issue selling this season.
  8. Wasn't that a thing most of last season too? Cubs always ruined our Fridays. Not that 1-2 is a large sample size... Great Memory !!! CUBS are 16-11 (.593) on Sundays CUBS are 11-5 (.688) on Mondays CUBS are 17-9 (.654) on Tuesdays CUBS are 13-13 (.500) on Wednesdays CUBS are 11-5 (.688) on Thursdays CUBS are 13-14 (.481) on Fridays CUBS are 16-8 (.667) on Saturdays Go CUBS !! The Cubs started out 4-2 on Fridays. From May 22 - July 24 the Cubs were 0-10 on Fridays. They finished the season with a 9-2 run on Fridays. You can sort by day of the week here. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/schedule/sortable.jsp?c_id=chc&year=2015

  10. This is brilliant. Although the Royals don't need our help and I am not sure how much help NSBB will really provide as our user base is relatively small, pissing off the Cardinals fans might be an appealing sell to them. Does whatever the #1 Royals board really have much bigger a user base. It's more #RoyalsTwitter. They really were the first team to have a ton of fans discussing the team on Twitter. And that was when they sucked. But that could just be perception. But they successfully hijacked the vote last year. No doubt.
  11. Royals have a huge online following and hijacked the AL vote last year. I say the Cubs/Royals start a dual campaign to vote for both teams' players. Plus, it will really piss off Cardinals fans.
  12. Switched over to Reds broadcast for comedy. Took about 3 seconds. They're questioning signing Heyward. Can hear Thom is pretty much begging for it to blowup for the Cubs.
  13. Mattingly's face at the end was great
  14. Got a shot to be 15 games over .500 come May 1st. Anything that makes the Cardinals have to be [expletive] sellers at the deadline would make me happy I'm kind of hoping they're stupid like the Yankees were for a few years and would rather try to remain as good as possible even when they have no hope of making the postseason.
  15. Yes. But not with money I really need. Yeah, a hot, windy August day against a gassed pitching staff because we already hammered them for two days. No way we don't get a 20-spot this season.
  16. He probably wore it in underneath a zip/hoodie No. I was walking in right behind him. While we were in line it was clear the whole time.
  17. I'm hoping MLB is smart enough to go with 2 8-team divisions in each league versus 4 4-team divisions.
  18. Funny because I walked in right behind a guy who had a Cubs Suck shirt on for the Tuesday game. Nobody said anything to him.
  19. Actual winning percentage is .094 lower than our Pythag. We are so unlucky.
  20. Moved down to right behind the dugout after the rain delay. The players were interacting with us and it was especially fun during the 8th inning rally. David Ross is the coolest old man alive.
  21. Was relegated to watching Gameday update slowly on my phone for today's game. Still a blast. This team!
