If the Cubs go 23-13 between now and the ASG they will have 61 wins. They had 61 wins in 2012 for the whole season. That's only a 103-104 win pace, which they have been playing over for the last 4+ months of baseball.

Maybe I'm getting cocky, but if we're going for the 4-game sweep it would be kind of awesome to get a chance to knock around Kershaw. Would probably be sticking the chests out pretty far if we 4-game swept the Nationals and Dodgers and had a 5-1 record against Pittsburgh and 4-2 against St. Louis and the biggest division lead in baseball. Would be a cherry on top to do it against Kershaw.

Coomer seems like a nice guy. That's it. No idea if he actually is, but he seems like one. Some of you guys are way too literal/analytical about everything.

I was thinking today about how far down the organization do you have to go before you find a weak link and I think you have to get all the way down to the radio color commentator.* *And I actually like Coomer, but he's just not very good at radio especially the PBP in the 5th.

An individual player's RISP vs. nobody on BA for 2 months is definitely in the category of anomalies that you could find on any team. However, it jumps out more to us because of things like the whole team having a historic BARISP one season followed by a historic strand rate the following season. They've often outperformed their peripherals as a team, but in a vacuum the Piscotty statistic is no big deal. Now Diaz being good when he's most needed? That's annoying.

Hendricks has basically had 2 bad innings all May. One against Milwaukee and one against San Diego. Other than that he's been lights out.

Single. Arrieta didn't advance 2 bases and he was a "forced" runner at the beginning of the play. Plus, it would be a single anyway because he ended at first.
