  1. Personally I was thinking 7. Not thrilled with the 2nd year Kelly got, but the AAV is good.
  2. Not enthralled with Luzardo, but he's a good mid rotation guy. If they're willing to do something like Caissie or Alcantara with a couple guys further down the list, sure I guess. Not someone I'd be throwing multiple guys out of the top 7 or 8 prospects, especially coming off injury.
  3. I'm almost in the camp right now where I prefer giving Shaw 3B and splurging on that SP and RP and maybe a bench bat.
  4. Love it on paper, but this can't be it. They need to find a capable 3B, a good setup man and a rotation upgrade if they really want to challenge this year.
  5. They get a tolerable 2 fWAR 3B and a SP to slot in front of Taillon, then yeah
  6. So if they trade Bellinger+5M for Warren I believe that leaves them around 41M available with needs at 3B/SP/RP
  7. Also, reading the tea leaves, I think it's clear the Cubs are very very high on Matt Shaw.
  8. This is going to completely crush my soul if Lucy pulls the football on this trade.
  9. Now I'm super interested in what happens at 3B
  10. I don't think it's going to be anyone we terribly miss. More like starter depth or something in 15-20 range.
  11. Yeah, I'm sure it's probably more like Smith+Wicks/Assad, which I'm still ok with
  12. If it's really Paredes+Caissie+Wesneski like that one tweet said, that's pretty much best case scenario
  13. I'm racking my brain here to try and come up with someone that would make sense for Bohm. Philly definitely wants MLB talent. Bohm isn't a FA until 2027 so it's going to have be something fairly valuable. I just can't think of anything that makes sense both ways unless it was something like Bohm+Castellanos for Seiya which I would absolutely loathe.
  14. Absolutely absurd that he's averaging a triple double
  15. Honestly don't think this is so bad if the prospect coming back is decent. Obviously not a top 100 guy, but a guy that ends up in their 10-15 range. If they just want a straight salary dump with nothing coming back and the Cubs eating 7M, then go pound sand.
  16. I said it makes no sense because what you're gaining in RF, you're losing the vast majority of it at 3B. Especially if Cody is gone as well.
  17. What narrative? I'll go on record for what I think is a reasonable deal. I'd love to have Tucker, if it takes Paredes+Smith+Assad then by all means. The absurd Paredes+Seiya+Shaw packages are way beyond that. If he can't get a deal done on Tucker, so be it, but he better have something else up his sleeve that isn't a bench bat, a back of the rotation starter or a mid relief arm.
  18. I definitely do, it's more that I expect this Tucker hype to be the highlight of the offseason where the Cubs go from in talks of adding an MVP level player, but come opening day, it's going to be someone like Joc Pederson instead.
  19. I think we all know how this is going to end.
  20. I wonder if it's possible to get Beeter back in a deal. I'm not sure he's a SP long term, but damn he'd be an absolutely electric relief arm.
  21. With Hoyer, it's best to have no expectations, that way if he actually managed to do anything then you get to be surprised.
  22. Hopefully Jed isn't this dumb.
  23. Milner would be great.
  24. Bellinger would be why.
  25. Cheaters holding a grudge for being called cheaters.
