    I'm gonna throw out a hot take. What about Sugano? I'm not saying he'd be the only move, but he'd be an interesting pick up as a 2nd pitcher. He's a FA after 2025 and I think his peripherals would absolutely suppress any return he'd bring. He's a really strange pitcher. His peripherals suggest he shouldn't be anywhere near this successful and yet he shows no signs of slowing down. I do expect some regression but his abnormally low babip and abnormally high lob% really aren't terribly out of line with average numbers in Japan. He seems to do an extremely good job at limiting hard contact and walks almost no one. With the Cub defense behind him, I'd be intrigued to pick him up if the going rate is like someone like Kipp.

    The cost would certainly be high, but how many teams can offer what the Cubs can as far as multiple immediately MLB ready players that are legit prospect.

    Sorry, I'm not anointing him as a pretty good GM until he actually makes the playoffs.

    Yeah we're at the point where I think Long, Wiggins and Ballesteros are the 3 most likely staying on this roster. I could easily see Alcantara and Caissie as trade bait and sadly this is more or less a lost year so far for Triantos. I'm undecided on how I feel about Rojas.

    Rockies are now 9-50. That's a .153 W%. That puts them on pace to go 25-137 this year. Last year's historically awful WSox team went 41-121(.253) Just to avoid losing 100 games this year the Rockies will need to go 54-49 the rest of the way.

    results aside, I am really not impressed with what I'm seeing out of Brasier.

    I don't even know how any publication could possibly justify him not being top 100 at this point. It's funny that Long and Wiggins might be the best Cub prospects that haven't touched MLB yet.

    Yes, the pitching was good the offense was not. It's like you're all trying to miss the original point on purpose. "The offense better wake the hell up" is what i prefaced the whole argument with.

    Yes, but you know my point was they are playing ****** and got bailed out by playing a historically ****** team.

    This offense better wake the hell up. 11 runs in 4 games. If not for playing the Rockies, they could very easily be on a 4 game losing streak.

    Alcantara with yet another awful start. 4IP 7H 6ER 4BB 0K I legitimately would not put him in the Cub rotation even if the Marlins just gave him to the Cubs.

    It puzzles me that people seem to think choking a woman unconscious, consensual or not, was Bauer's first ****** action. He has basically been despised by the league since he was drafted. His teammates have hated him.
