After inevitable failure at the end of this season, I fully expect Jed to not have the balls to show up to the Cub Convention.

With Jed clutching his prospects this tightly, there's no way in hell Tucker is a Cub next year and none of the other guys who are FAs after 2026 are getting extensions either.

Yup that's a bit of an ouch. I liked Gallagher a good bit, but it's still reasonable to me in this market.

Then he's not near the acceptable GM some people in here like to consider him. Shota, Boyd(on way more inning than he's thrown at that point), Taillon is not an acceptable playoff rotation.
