  1. Rose needed as much playtime to get back in the flow as possible. He did absolutely nothing wrong.
  2. I hate to be negative, but this has acl written all over it. That jump stop move puts a ton of pressure on the knee. Combine that with where he was pointing at and....
  3. Rose's jumpers aren't even close; I'm officially worried.
  4. Has anyone else noticed how horrifically bad their offense has been? Through 17 games they have scored 36 runs and they're currently being shut out in game 18. Before today their team SLG was .300 to go along with a .561 OPS. This all puts them on pace for 343 runs. For comparison, the Mariners in 2010 scored 513 runs which was the lowest for any team this decade.
  5. It's the cold weather. The Cubs will absolutely hit more than 70 HRs. Cubs have hit 5HR, the Yankees have hit 28. Even the Pirates who have only scored 30 runs this year have 7. I'm not saying they wont, I'm saying I'm having doubts.
  6. Emerging as one of my least favorite players in the league. I don't even know why he pisses me off, but he does.
  7. So we're going to the World Series? I'll take it. I meant strictly from a power perspective. Though if Castro wanted to go crazy on the basepaths Vince Coleman style I'd be all for that.
  8. I'm starting to doubt 2 things. 1) The Cubs will have any player hit 20 or more HR and 2) They will hit 70 or more HR as a team. It's like we're looking at the 87 Cardinals minus Jack Clark.
  9. Our crap for a Rays super talent seems tough to see happening. Sarcasm?
  10. Terrible peripherals, a declining K rate and declining velocity. I'll pass if it takes a prospect of any value.
  11. Anyone else notice Ondrusek has already made 9 appearances? That is absolutely absurd and just another reason that Baker has no business coaching at any level.
  12. ...I've heard more than enough about Yadier. He's not a superstar, he's simply good. He had one good season at the plate.
  13. Reds and Cards the most bitter rivalry in the central....how the hell does he get paid to announce?
  14. What is with all the shitty white trash facial hair on the Card's relievers?
  15. The Cubs/Cards rivalry is the kind where they go out to drink together after the game? WTF are you talking about?
  16. What is Law's problem? So what if Rizzo is repeating at age 22; he's still young for the league. It's like anytime a Cub prospect is doing anything positive, Law finds a way to dismiss it.
  17. This makes me so incredibly sad.....I have the biggest Moore man crush.
  18. I don't care if Fielder hits 50 this year, that contract was horrible and I'm thrilled the Cubs aren't stuck paying it.
  19. I'll take Chapman at his low low reliever trade price.
  20. Am I wrong on being turned off by Appel? It's great that he's got the body type and profile to be a top tier starter, but when do we start wondering if he's ever going to miss bats at a decent rate? Maybe it's unjustified, but if I'm taking a guy in the top couple picks I want someone who doesn't have such a big question mark.
  21. Thibs needs to start sitting Deng a lot more often. He has been absolutely terrible since his injury. Another week of this and he's going to be shooting under 40% on the year which is completely unacceptable.
  22. I think there is a very real possibility that the area surrounding Wrigley doesn't survive the celebration.
  23. It's really depressing how sad that commercial made me feel....
