  1. Time to ignore field goals outside of 35 and just go for it.
  2. This offense is so confusing. They pick up yardage in big chunks then abruptly bottom out.
  3. Yikes, bad throw Cutler.
  4. Fantastic effort by Jeffrey.
  5. I'm confused by all this passing on 1st down.
  6. Wow that was lucky. Calvin should have caught that ball.
  7. Damn, Thomas with a really good catch on tight defense.
  8. His leg doesn't look near as strong as Gould's.
  9. Tice you stupid ass. Stop using Forte in short yardage.
  10. Huge turnover please put up a TD here.
  11. I'm liking how they're spreading the ball. When they do that the offense is so much better.
  12. I have to imagine a Cub package starts with Baez and Samardzija.
  13. That had better be a fumble, it's obvious he was pump faking and pulling that ball down.
  14. Nicely done, so much for that FG.
  15. My overwhelming hate of his douchebaggery says no even though he logically could become a valuable trade piece.
  16. I'm happy the Orioles are using the cartoon bird again. I've always like that.
  17. I wonder how many we might have a year from now if none of the big 3 take a major step back. I think there's a very real shot that Vogelbach, Paniagua, Vizcaino and Whoever we pick at #2 are all inside the top 100. There's a couple other guys with much smaller chances like Underwood/Candelario. If I had to guess I'd put us at 6 in the top 100 next year. Also the possibility of a big IFA signing. 16-year old IFA signings *rarely* make top 100 lists the first offseason after they sign since they're so far away and don't play that summer (obviously if there's a guy like Soler or Puig out there, that would be different). Speaking of which, any news on the 2 Cuban players that became available like a week or two ago?

  19. Mostly I'm looking forward to going to KC games.I plan to be at a ton of them since they're only 15 minutes from the house. Prospect wise I'm looking forward to Baez(Could be a top 10 prospect or a top 75 by the end of the year) Soler(I think he busts out and launches up the rankings) Paniagua(The more I hear the more I'm excited that he could be our TOR guy) Almora(I want to see if the lack of walks was a fluke) BJax(I want to see the reworked swing) Torreyes(I want him to reestablish himself as the Cubs 2B of the future) Vizcaino( I want to see whether he's going to be our future TOR guy or our closer) Lake(I want to see if he can keep the improved walk rate while lowering his K rate) As an organization I'm also interested to see if they can keep players improving their patience and plate discipline. I know Torreyes, Lake, Vitters, Szczur etc took nice steps forward last year under the new system. Now I'd like to see the same out of Almora/Baez.
  20. Still not that impressed. A 1-in-5 chance at getting a 1-in4ish chance at a useful major leaguer. I'll just take the major leaguer, even if it costs me some money. I'm not sure why you keep insisting they have to be a useful major leaguer. All they need to do is become a useful asset. Is Baez currently a useful major leaguer? No. Does he still have significant value? Yes. Bobby Hill was certainly never a useful major leaguer but he was a tremendously valuable asset.
  21. A 25% chance to get a "top-120" prospect does not sound that impressive to me. You're using that 119 a little to loosely, why don't we just ignore Owens. Doing that we see you have an 22.2% chance to land one of the top 60 prospects in baseball. Sounds a whole lot more impressive doesn't it?
  22. I posted this on PSD, but I'll bring it over here too. These guys were all picked between 33-45 between 2009-2011 Aaron Sanchez(49), Bryce Brentz, Noah Syndergaard(40), Taijuan Walker(5), Nick Castellanos(19), Henry Owens(119), Jackie Bradley(36), Trevor Story(60), James Paxton(57), Tyler Skaggs(20), Matt Davidson, Brad Boxberger, Rex Brothers, Tanner Scheppers. That is a ton of talent and way too much not to factor in when deciding to sign a guy like Bourn or not.
