    Two walks and a HBP. I don't understand how Marmol can't be completely and utterly embarrassed. It's one thing if you're getting hit hard, but a pitcher who can't even throw the ball over the plate is absolutely pathetic.

    Is there really any reason not to just DFA Marmol? He's not going to bounce back and get us anything. He's really nothing but a minus at this point.

    Hopefully, the manager got chewed out for this, then. Unfortunately it's too late. I'm already seeing large portions of the meat head contingent referring to Soler as a "headcase" or "prima donna". Dave Kaplan doesn't need any help turning the average fan against the non white Cubs.

    Is no one else worried that Stanton is this young and seemingly constantly hurt? He just hit the DL again with a quad issue. His body may be completely broken down by age 30.

    We are so lucky Gray has come on like he has. Between Stanek, Austin Wilson and Manaea things would be looking a lot bleaker.

    Oh look a trade up. Good thing Emery didn't make that deal because we all know that Long wouldn't have lasted any longer.

    Everything went perfectly for the Bears prior to their pick and Emery still fucked it up. If they draft Eifert they can impliment a NE type offense, but no Emery is a moron.

    I'm honestly starting to lose interest in the team. I still like watching the minors, but even watching Rizzo and Castro isn't enough to make me care that much anymore.

    Even the biggest doom boner couldn't have predicted the offense would be this terrible. This is absolutely pathetic.

    God I wish it was more likely he could stick at 3B, but with a less than 25% chance you just can't warrant using the #2 pick on that.

    It's amazing that even more is going wrong this year than last year when seemingly everything went wrong.

    Checking what Renteria was doing at Castro's age, Renteria averaged a 1.66 WAR through his age 23 season and had already accumulated two sub-1 WAR seasons. It's definitely possible Castro doesn't take the next step in his game but he's still young enough that I don't think it's unreasonable to expect improvement. I'm not writing him off, but it is really disheartening to see almost zero improvement from him at the plate.
