    With Stroman struggling I have my doubts a Giolito package is even realistic right now. I'd rather go for it and not sweat the difference between QO and what Bellinger would get and whatever 45 Stroman probably brings back.

    Yeah right. What was the last top of the market free agent they signed? Heyward? Dansby was a very good signing but by the vast majority of people going into FA he was SS #4. Stroman was a good signing, but wasn't at the top of the list. Lester and Heyward were the last big big FA splashes.

    I think Jed has to decide by tonight which direction he's going in order to give him enough time to have the discussions with other teams he's going to need to have before the deadline approaches. He doesn't have to necessarily pull the trigger yet, but general frameworks have to be discussed.
