    Exactly, if you're not an ND fan, you aren't watching this game. So why play it every year. And you meant 'is' you big meanie. Because Purdue usually sucks, and it gives ND an easy win, all the while giving ND the advantage of saying they play a hard schedule including 3 Big Ten teams and USC.

    Kansas should probably move elsewhere in order to maintain their integrity. academic wise they would be a good fit for the B1G. I'm not sure if that was sarcasm or not, but Kansas would be at the bottom with Nebraska, about 25-30 spots behind Indiana and Iowa, and bring no football revenue. Also worth noting is that Kansas accepted 93% of applicants last year. The B1G isn't going to add Kansas because of their "academic fit" when they bring nothing else to the table.

    You can't exactly blame him that Illinois still qualifies to play in the Big Ten. We won by like 90 last year. And we are coming off a bowl victory, something Fitzgerald has never done.

    I hate Pat Fitzgerald. I hope we run up the score on his arrogant ass. What has he ever won? What has he done beyond beat up on cupcakes. Now the "we recruit a different type of kid" comment. Go [expletive] yourself Pat, get over it that Illinois never offered you a scholarship, and move on with your life. That is all.

    That was a total WTF play that I would expect from the Bears. Haven't watched the replay in detail, but was a great play. Typical Bears game, always interesting. See y'all at Christmas.

    I'm assuming the field will be sloppy today. Should put GB in a more run oriented look. If there's anyplace needing field turf its Soldier Field.

    Really happy that Illinois escaped yesterday with the win. I loved seeing Troy Pollard have a big game. I think Young will be getting a lot more of Ford's carries as we progress into the B1G. This is two weeks in a row that we have won games that the Illini usually lose. Hopefully we get it done against Fitzy next week.

    There is no reason for the B1G to take Iowa State or Kansas. They add very little to the revenue pie. ND and Mizzou are the only two options on the table that (1) fit the profile of the conference and (2) add value to the league and increase the BTN's footprint. I'm perfectly content with staying at 12 teams, there is no need to expand to expand.

    The Bears had an almost impossible task yesterday. The Saints are a great team, coming off a loss and playing in their home opener. That's a tough game for any team to win. Major issues on your offensive line, I would expect Capers will dial up the blitz next week. I am having Matt Forte nightmares. Pay that man.

    Delaney has said he wants the teams to play each other more. Expanding at this point doesn't make much sense if that is his true intent. The BTN is a cash cow, and everyone is trying to catch up. Expanding doesn't make sense until ND agrees to join the conference on EQUAL terms. Only then should expansion occur.

    Comparing Chief Illiniwek to Bucky Badger is apples and oranges. Although the Chief may have been considered a "mascot" by the NCAA and the University, his presence at athletic events was brief, ceremonial and as a member of the band. Mascots are glorified cheerleaders, whereas the Chief represented much more to a great deal of Illini. Although I'm not surprised the University decided that it was better off without Illiniwek, and I fully understand their reasons for doing so, comparing the Chief to a conventional college mascot cheapens the legacy.
