I remember those devastatingly harsh penalties placed on Notre Dame immediately after the Kim Dunbar scandal. And by devastating I mean 2 whole scholies pulled and by immediately after I mean 2-4.5 years after the fact. Just like the old joke in college basketball many years ago, that the NCAA was so mad at UNLV that they added another year to Cleveland State's probation.

Looks like 6 wins in a row for me, thanks again to having a 7-on-5 advantage (my opponent has one injured player and one player on bye week in his lineup). He did actually outscore me at QB (not often that Manning throws 3 TDs and still gets outscored). At least I had the Jake Delhomme Interception Machine back on my bench (the same place he really needs to be for Carolina).

If the Cubs fall out of serious contention with time left in the season do you think Lou will still finish out his contract, or might he resign (or even be fired) to give a potential replacement (such as Trammell or Sandberg) an extended audition? Along the same lines, there's been speculation about the futures of both LaRussa and Duncan. Do you think there's much chance of either or both of them coming to the Cubs for 2011?

Good lord. If this thing goes to 7 the Phillies are going to have about 3 months of rest; or at least that's what it feels like. If it goes 7 without any more rainouts there will only be one day off before the start of the World Series. If there's another rainout I think they'd have to postpone the start of the Series, because the Phillies would need a reasonable amount of time after Game 7 to travel (since they won't know until then where they're traveling). This is especially true if they have to travel to Los Angeles; traveling to New York wouldn't be such a big deal. -
