  1. Hopefully our Micah can tee off against their Micah. :D
  2. Perhaps Hendry shouldn't have given him broken toys in the first place. Especially given the fact that the toys were already broken before Hendry went to Broken Toys 'R' Us to buy them in the first place. :D
  3. Actually, Lee Elia has. He was the manager of the Phillies for the majority of the 1987 and 1988 seasons. In fact, he managed the Phillies for nearly as many games (254) as he did for the Cubs (285).
  4. Who is this Sandberg and did he know Ryne Sandberg? Carl Sandberg was a famous author. He died in 1967, so he probably didn't know Ryne. :D

http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/yoda/img/movie2_sm.jpg Do, or do not. There is no try.
  6. I wouldn't, even if the Indians would. I'm not interested in trading Ramirez in the first place, but if he is traded it needs to be for a PROVEN major league star, not a prospect (even a top one). There's no guarantee even a top prospect will pan out.
  7. Prior and Wood aren't Santana and Liriano. At their best they're close.
  8. "Just relax, dude, and pitch like you have no pressure on you. It's only your baseball career on the line; it's not life and death."
  9. Lugo has missed the past two games with an ouchy finger and is day-to-day. Therefore I reserved him for the rest of the week, shifted Sanchez to SS, and activated Beltre at 3B.
  10. Three pitching starts yesterday, and they combine for an awesome, mind-boggling, earth-shattering 2.95 points. With this production my opponent may as well concede the week right now; he doesn't stand a chance.
  11. You would have to point that out. :x if it makes you feel any better, it may be the most points you can score when your SP gives up 7 runs in 5 1/3. That I'm sure it will be. On the flip side, it's probably the least I'll ever get out of a 12 strikeout performance. It was a very strange start.
  12. You would have to point that out. :x
  13. Neifi's back next year anyway; he signed a two-year contract.
  14. I don't think he's been officially called up yet; rather, I think what was actually said is that he WILL BE called up in time to start on Thursday. That means nobody needs to be sent down until then. My guess is that Aardsma might go back down.
  15. I even have three wins to prove that. :D
  16. He pitched for me in another league. Before his "masterpiece" today I had an ERA of less than 2.00 and WHIP less than 1.00 for the week. Yet somehow I was losing both categories.
  17. I'm not sure I'd completely write him off. If he really is completely over his injuries and able to continue producing I'd expect him to get a shot at AAA, and if he produces there I think he could still make the majors (maybe not this year). He is admittedly older, but he'd still have a chance to put up several productive years as a major leaguer.
  18. Damn Torii Hunter; he would have to choose a time where I'm without access and unable to replace him for several days to go on the DL. :x Time warp or wrong thread? Time warp, since last week's thread was where I originally made the post I was following up on. :D
  19. Damn Torii Hunter; he would have to choose a time where I'm without access and unable to replace him for several days to go on the DL. :x
  20. Woo-hoo! Four points after the first day! Watch out, Tim; you're toast this week. I'm travelling and will be without Internet access until Wednesday or Thursday of next week. I've already set my lineup for next week; hopefully there won't be any injuries or demotions to mess me up.
  21. He's trying to get in Ole Miss's signature.
  22. Unfortunately, Hendry got to the store five minutes after the special expired.
  23. If "bold" means stupid, they're right.
  24. The team Gaetti played for in late 1998 and 1999, by any chance? :D
