Anyway, this is good news for the Brewers. maybe there are caveats for makeup games. either way, this further points towards how broken the scheduling is. not to sound too "olde thyme", but having some scheduled Sunday doubleheaders would create more off days and make this situation less of a struggle The rule can be waived for make-up games, although I believe it requires the union's OK. That happened to the Cubs back in 2004 when an entire series in Florida was lost due to the hurricane. The Cubs went well over the normal limit without an off-day at the end of the season, and I think fatigue due to a lack of a day off was one of the reasons for the last week collapse losing the Wild Card.
