  2. Actually it does show up. I just dropped the dummy placeholder for Dae-Eun Rhee when I picked up another player, and the drop shows up.
  3. I believe once Brian puts waivers back on all players will sit on waivers for a day or two while everyone has a chance to place a claim. do all minor league players exist in the CBS player database? No. If you want a player not in the database Brian can create a dummy player as a placeholder until the real player is added.

  6. Agreed, especially if it's an injury to Soto (god forbid) and not Hill, I think Castillo would get the call up in that case. I would also agree with you that Ramirez will shuffle around between C and 1B with maybe some time at 3B and/or the OF. Good news though, I am glad we were able to keep him in the system. One reason for calling up Castillo rather than Ramirez if it's specifically to catch is that Castillo is already on the 40-man roster and can be called up and sent down at will (within the limits of spending 10 days down before he could be called back up) since this is already an option year for him. Ramirez, however, would need to be added to the 40-man, then exposed to waivers again if they want to send him back down. So I think it's highly unlikely that Ramirez would get a short-term call-up.
  7. Don't you remember tree's girlfriend that he treated like crap and forced off the board forever? Controversey was her name. that was andi, you idiot No, Andi was the Cub fan who lived in St. Louis and at one time worked for the Cardinals. I don't remember what her screen name was, but Controversy was a different pesron.
  8. I remember some talk about this during the offseason but hadn't seen anything about it for awhile. I like the idea, but not if it's restricted to concussions only. There can be other injuries that would require a player to miss at least a week but not necessarily a full 15 days, so they should be included as well. There's been a 7-day DL in the minors for as long as I've been following them, and I'm certain that's not limited to concussions only.
  9. I voted 8, even though I previously supported 9, because of the off-days. Either one is fine with me, though.
  10. I'm fine with two rounds. I have a full minor league roster anyway, although I may promote Ka'whatever to my major league roster depending on how long Morales is out (I can create another spot by moving Castro to my major league DL if it's not otherwise full).
  11. Put on waivers according to Sullivan. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-spt-0329-cubs-bits--20110328,0,5658997.story Okay, that's a huge difference... not if another team claims him of course, but at least we're trying to keep him in the system rather than cutting ties completely. so if another team claims him, that team must put him on its 25 man roster? I don't think so, but the claiming team would then itself have to pass him through waivers before sending him down.

  13. She's still around (she was logged in as recently as yesterday), but she hasn't been posting much recently. She has one post since September (back in January).
  14. The Butler-VCU matchup is the first time in Final Four history that two teams seeded this low have played against each other.
  15. I worded it wrong. Nobody has any possible correct picks remaining. It's possible someone has a pick in the Final Four that they picked to lose in the semifinals (like you did with UConn).
  16. So much for any drama remaining. Nobody in the group has a single team in the Final Four; the final standings are completely locked in. Matt won with 216 points, followed by Adam and DeShawn, both with 201.
  17. On the other hand, with the matchups as they are it guarantees that there will be a Cinderella team in the championship game.
  18. That might be because George Mason had the Cinderella storyline all to itself, whereas VCU has to share it with Butler.
  19. Seems like an extension of his attitude that he was entitled to a rotation spot without having to earn it. Good riddance.
  20. I'd let him start, hoping that a second straight good start might increase trade interest among other teams.
  21. As far as who's on the roster, yes. As far as who's in the rotation vs. the bullpen, no.
  22. Confirmation about Looper retiring on cubs.com.
