  1. Todd Hundley begs to differ.
  2. Panthers sign Gross and franchise Peppers.
  3. He's a 49ers fan.
  4. Check your inbox.
  5. I'm not so sure. If we get past Robert, this likely gets to you. And you are getting past me. I pick Benji Molina. I was busy both day and night (that's true Wednesday only). I had one morning class, two afternoon classes, and one evening class to teach. Ping is on the clock.
  6. I tend to agree with BBB. There's nothing wrong with making changes, but I think maybe we're doing too much too soon. In hindsight maybe these changes are ones we should have discussed for next year rather than first bringing them up, talking about them, and implementing them within a matter of a few hours.

Bukie I'm in da house (briefly) and take Mark DeRosa.
  8. I'll probably be on for a little bit this afternoon between 3:30 and 6:00 Eastern time while taking short breaks from preparing for my night class.
  9. My time availability to be online today will be EXTREMELY limited. Wednesday is my busiest day of the week (I teach classes during the morning, afternoon, and evening, plus I also have a meeting today). I'll be able to check in occasionally, and if it gets to the point where I'm third or fourth in line I'll probably queue a few players and set it to autodraft if the draft room has been fixed. Otherwise there may be a delay before I pick (if it even gets to me today).
  10. As a Cub fan I hope that turns out to be a good pick. As a division opponent I hope Dempster struggles the weeks you play me (but that the Cubs have enough offense to win those games anyway).
  11. He might prefer Neifi. :D
  12. . :-k It's mighty big of the players union to allow the CBA to be breached when it benefits their own, isn't it? I love the blurb about how the union would permit Cruz and others to waive their individual rights. I don't think the union has a say in that decision. Wasn't it the union not allowing ARod to waive his rights that prevented him from being traded to Boston and instead to NYC? I believe it was that he was willing to take a salary cut to fit in the Red Sox's payroll and the union objected.
  13. See, the problem with us being really good lately is that suddenly I've had this thought in my mind that we might be able to put out a win there, which we all know is probably close to impossible. It's probably not that implausible. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but I thought our last two games at AFH have been closer than the ones at Paige Arena. I think one came down to the wire. Still, I'm expecting the place to be a frenzy. And hopefully Marcus morris won't bump a ref this time and have to sit out the last 10 minutes of the game. I think it was 2 years ago Matt Lawrence missed a 3 at the buzzer that would've tied it, although last year you guys won by nearly 20. It's definitely a game I don't have any expectations of winning though, the only way it happens if some combination of great Mizzou shooting and Aldrich or Collins missing a bunch of time with foul trouble goes down. (it's no longer Paige) Why not? Here's an explanation.
  14. None of the last several picks are showing (the most recent pick shown is Burrell). I think since then the picks have just been posted here, and Juan will probably have to put the picks through once the software is fixed.
  15. The Cubs are scheduled to be featured on "30 Clubs in 30 Days" on Tuesday March 10 at 5:30 P.M. Eastern time (repeated 1:30 A.M. Eastern time). The starting times probably need to be considered tentative because that's during the WBC and start times could be delayed if the games run over. Also, Ken Burns' Baseball seems to be finishing on an accelerated schedule (unfortunately I didn't realize it at first and as a result missed the 6th inning). It started once a week (Tuesday) but is finishing twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday). The 7th inning is tomorrow, the 8th inning this Thursday, and the 9th inning a week from tomorrow.
  16. I've been wondering about him too. We had a PM exchange as recently as early Saturday morning about a possible trade and I made him a rormal offer through Roadkill, but never heard back from him before the deadline. And I haven't seen anything from him since then.
  17. Doesn't bother me either. I think it increases the chance that everybody will be able to participate in at least part of the draft. Plus you don't feel like you're under the gun and needing to decide who to draft immediately if the person before you foils your plans and drafts who you wanted. I think the main issue this time is that we decided on this quickly and started right away, which may have caught some people off guard.
  18. Bingo. The university where I teach generally doesn't believe in holidays (the only day we get off as a holiday all spring is Good Friday, since it's a Christian school). And Monday is one of my two busiest days (Wednesday is my only busier day), so my online time is less on those days.
  19. Hello Nate McLouth, come to papa. Buddiga is now on the clock.
  20. Nah, he's too young to interest Sabean.
  21. I hope they keep him stretched out as a starter in Iowa so he could come up and join the rotation if somebody gets injured.
  22. Not sure why, but I get all the email exchanges you have with Sportsline sent to me, also. oddly enough...I don't. I guess I'm the least of the league admins. :D I haven't gotten those e-mails, but I've gotten tons of e-mails tonight for the draft pick trades that had already been announced (a separate e-mail for each trade). I think I've gotten more than 20 e-mails on trades over the past hour.
  23. I got a similar e-mail saying picks 1--5 were skipped.
  24. Sounds reasonable to me. That seems similar in principle to risking losing a player on your DL in anticipation of him opening the season on the DL. And thanks for restoring my prospects.
