  1. 1/2 my Final Four and my champ are gone but I am in the 97.9 percentile on ESPN. If you get the champ you will do better than a very large majority of people.
  2. The jokes off this are limitless. He drives hard annnnd scores, he explodes towards the hole ... etc.
  3. The NCAA has been criticized heavily for this. They have a game played in Syracuse at the same time Syracuse is playing elsewhere. Everyone is at home or at a bar/restaurant watching the Orange. The NCAA need to learn how to schedule crap because this year it has been pretty bad.
  4. Looks OK and manageable but knowing your luck everyone will either end up injured or have a bad year.
  5. I wasn't going to bring up the auto insurance because I thought it might turn into a broader argument than just heath reform but I'm glad someone was willing to.
  6. Not if we are to have a government of the people. Ever heard of serve the majority and protect the minority? The current health care system before this law obviously did not do that. Neither does this law though. The majority includes all the uneducated people who are dumb enough to elect W. Bush to a second term. They aren't always right. Way to make a point that no one is debating Then what the heck are you arguing? You whole argument has been based on how it goes against the constitution because them majority of people are against it (yet to be proven btw). Yet here you are saying the majority aren't always right. So what you are saying is the majority are wrong but we should go with them simply because they are the majority?

  8. Or it represents the will of the typically conservative state AG's. Did you really need to go and use logic?
  9. I would still like to up the amount of RP's we use. There are a lot of great setup men and overall great relievers available. Each of us using three means just 48 relievers are used which is way to many for a league that has 30 teams. If we want to be more realistic and get to a 40 man roster we should up the amount of RP's because we aren't even using half the amount of RP's every MLB does. I would vote we double the RP's used to 6 and then add two minor leaguers to make it 12. That would also give us a 40 man.
  10. 9 governors being against it reprsents the "will of the people" more than the congressmen who the people elected to represent them? Exactly. In order for the bill to pass a majority of the congressmen and Senators that we the people voted in had to vote in favor.
  11. I would take Weaver over Lackey btw. He isn't injury prone and is coming into his peak years.
  12. True. Hadn't thought of the cap points trades. I think no matter what we should do this next offseason like we did this season (since people have planned for it). Then if a majority want we can switch after the league draft to a dynasty format in some way (details to be worked out later). That gives everyone a chance to plan and draft accordingly and also allows those of us who have made trades to get extra points get the benefit of those trades.
  13. Sounds like Reagan. In a Utopian society the rich would help the poor but that has been proven in multiple industries to not be the case in this country. The rich use their wealth to take even more from the poor. When it comes to health care that type of crap shouldn't be allowed. You say that those with the means should help others. If you truly believe that then why are we having to force them to do it? They aren't helping out when they can and thus aren't doing what they should. If you believe that they should be helping then why would you have an issue with making them help. You sound like a guy who refuses to look at it realistically and gets caught up in the "rights." Sure it would be nice to have a right to choose but we have given that to the wealthy for many years and they have abused that right which is why we are now taking it back.
  14. Selfish. We should all help each other so that we can all get treatment when needed. You even provide a great statistic in favor of this. 2/3's of all the people who file bankruptcy do so due to medical expenses? Do you realize how f-ed up that is. It's as f-ed up as most of our countries citizen's being OK with that continuing.
  15. I would rather make us have more of a real pitching staff. Add at least a couple more RP slots so that we have to go deeper than the closers and top set-up guys.
  16. Or an over crowded system like Canada. "You need and MRI, we'll book you for one in three months." The law will be a disaster. There's a reason every republican and even 34 democrats voted against it. Most polls show the majority of the people are against it. It is also a direct violation of capitalism, free choice, and state's rights. People shouldn't die or go without adequate treatment because they don't have thousands of dollars. Oh and I don't get caught up much in the free choice crap when it comes to this. Most people don't have a choice. They either have lots of money, can get huge loans or can't and much go without. People should have to be faced with that choice.
  17. I think 10 minor leaguers is plenty but as for going to more of a dynasty I am OK with it. One sticking point that I would make is that if we do it we should not do it this season because people didn't draft with that in mind. If we do more of a dynasty league I put much more weight to a players age. I wouldn't have taken guys like DLee and Soriano for instance. Also I would want to keep some sort of keeper points involved. I don't like the idea of people being able to have the top players and hoard them forever. Keeper points to me work like a salary cap and a league should have a salary cap in my opinion.
  18. This bill will eventually lead to the companies being taken out of the medical industry and thus no more gauging the people for something that should be a right not a privilege.
  19. He timed very slow, but didn't look it on the field. He may play faster than he times and I'd be fine with the Titans taking him most anywhere. Best in a 3-4 I think, though. That is who I wanted to take with the 49ers. Takeo is getting older, would be a great mentor for him and Spikes would pair well with Willis in the future.
  20. I would take Dunn. He can play U and be a backup at OF and 1B. There is way too many worthwhile SP's this year to take an injury prone, older SP over a near lock 40 HR guy.
  21. Cardinals select OT Vlad Ducasse from UMass As I said before the Cardinals need depth at OT. The OL is pretty poor overall but especially at OT. If they have any hope of Leinart succeeding they need to get an OT early to help protect him.
  22. A: Fieldler B: Pena, ARod C: Sandoval, Hanley, Soriano D: Manny, Vlad, Aramis, Wright, Beltran WC: Secret for now
  23. Not necessarily. Getting rid of Wood meant Kevin Gregg closing, and that didn't work out at all. how does your thought process work poorly ... obviously
  24. The article talks about how he made one little adjustment and it's been working well for him (suuure...). He credits the turnaround to Greg Maddux. Oh and also he's said he's had a couple of bad years since his mother wasn't around to be there with him, and the good news is his mother is flying from Venezuela very soon. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-spt-0322-cubs-chicago--20100321,0,5010525.story Honestly, whatever. I personally wouldn't have made the move, but if he kills us for a couple of starts in April, most likely the Cubs will pull the plug when Lilly returns anyways. I don't see why we shouldn't give him a shot. He has looked better (hard not to) this Spring and could be a good 5th. While Lilly is out we should give him a chance.
  25. That rat bastard. Clearly Matt Painter should surrender the victory as a sign of protest. Oh by the way Andy in case you didn't know 3/11 > 2/16
