  1. I didn't get to see the game but my God 38-33. Only one player in double figures and that was 11 points on 3 of 11 shooting. As a Purdue fan I'm ecstatic. This puts the ball in our court. If we win out we are the champs.
  2. Best half of any game that's for sure. Defense just took over in the second half. The Davidson game as a whole I put just behind this one and maybe right with it. 21-0 run to start that game just sticks out to me. Yeah, the 21-0 run was great, but if you figure in the quality of the opponent I'll take this game. I'd rest Hummel against IU this weekend and get ready for Michigan/OSU next Thursday/Saturday. I never take IU for granted no matter what. Big rivalries have a way of making mismatches turn out to be close games. I would play Hummel. If at half you got a double digit lead take him out. If you go in saying he won't play and you end up needing him your screwed because he didn't warm up or anything.

  4. Hummel gets inserted into the starting lineup and we go back to playing like we did in the non-conference.
  5. Can't wait for the Combine to start.
  6. Matlock. I was going to go with himself but that works too.
  7. Marshall has shown to be a dependable backend starter and frankly hasn't been treated fairly. Is he going to dominate? No but he can consistently give you 6 innings 3 runs outings. The only way I support not putting Marshall there is if Smarz looks great and looks ready to be a starter. He's our future rotation guy but if he isn't ready then Marshall should get the 5th spot because he has shown he can do it.
  8. MSU: 24-6(14-4) UI: 25-6(13-5) PU: 23-8(12-6) WIS: 20-10(11-7) OSU: 21-8(11-7) PSU: 21-10(10-8) UM: 19-12(9-9) MN: 21-9(9-9) NU: 15-14(6-12) IA: 14-17(4-14) IU: 6-24(1-17) If Purdue beats MSU at home there is a good chance the last game of the season determines champ. It can be Purdue one game back and win ties them in record with head to head tie breaker making them the champ, a MSU loss giving Illinois the championship, or MSU win gives them championship. There are a lot of possibilities and that game likely could determine which one of three teams is the champ.
  9. So I still think its doubtful but I'm increasingly getting worried about JaJuan Johnson jumping early. He has really improved this year and is probably going to make first team since there is no top center in the big ten right now. Today he made at least two jumpers from a foot inside the arc (one with the man in his face). Not many shot blocking 6'10" guys can do that. I still think he needs another year to one grow a bit more and two perfect his shot but he could elect to go after this season since he would probably still be a late first round pick based on potential.
  10. Well Purdue's offense has officially derailed completely. Can't hit any shots outside of the paint unless its Moore or Johnson. Hummel played but rarely went in the paint offensively. He would go down for rebounds but never tried to post up or drive meaning his back is really really bad. The one time I did see him drive he grabbed his back while running to the other end of the court.
  11. I could be interested.
  12. I figure this is the best place to put this. I read a good joke about the NFL the other day. If the Jacksonville Jaguars are called the Jags and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are called the Bucs than what are the Tennessee Titans called? Source: Playboy believe it or not As for the Vick stuff. I will laugh if any team gives up more than a 4th round pick for him.
  13. I'd love to see TO on the Raiders. That would be fun. Yep, it's official. I'm definitely picking a second team to root for next year until Al Davis croaks/gives up the team. Hey, at least it'd be hard for TO to make things worse. It's just that it's such a predictable move that it pisses me off. I've been considering picking a second team to root for next season for a while, and I think I'm going to go through with it. It doesn't even have to be a good team, just one that isn't as embarrassingly pathetic as the Raiders are. The Lions? He said NOT embarrassingly pathetic.
  14. Free agents: TJ Housmandzadeh, Antonio Bryant, Devery Henderson, Lance Moore Trades: Anquan Boldin and maybe Torry Holt Draft: Percy Harvin, Jeremy Maclin (pipedream), Michael Crabtree (pipedream), Darrius Heyward-Bey, Kenny Britt, Derrick Williams, Hakeem Nicks, Mohammed Mossaquoi If we go the veteran route, I'd want either Houshmandzadeh or Boldin. If it's the draft, assuming Maclin and Crabtree don't fall to us, I'd look at Harvin or Bey. Knowing the Titans, though, they'll just take a running back. They only do that in the second round.
  15. one would think not, but there are a lot of eyewitness accounts that seem to emanate from within rather than without. Pills in a bottle could be anything.
  16. That was the idea and coming from the poster with some freaky dog as his avatar seems hypocritical.
  17. Well I just voted for the proven offenders should have them thrown out and the only other vote is nothing. Who the heck voted for that? Baseball lives on its history and hallowed records. Allowing records to stand that happened because we know for sure the person cheated is an idea I just can't fathom and will never support. In my opinion because A-rod has admitted to cheating in 01, 02, and 03 his stats from those years should be stripped from his career. Same goes with any other players proven or admitted to use during specific time periods.
  18. I'm game for signing him just for Spring Training so we can get another installment of crazy Cardinals fan.
  19. wasnt there, can't blame me. plus its the first time we've beaten kansas at home in like THREE GAMES. COME ON RAISIN. Rushing the court is fun. Why do some people hate when other people have fun? It should be reserved for huge upsets and when you win a championship. If you do it all the time it will lose its coolness.
  20. I think the most annoying part of the game today was the PBP saying Keaton Moore at least 6 times. There was probably more but after the second one I started counting and had six when I turned it off (at about the 3 minute mark). Every time he said Keaton he would say Moore. When he just said the last name he got right and said Grant. Its bad enough when your team falls apart but when the announcer continually says the wrong name it sends me over the top. I kept thinking Anthony would finally correct him but he never did.
  21. Great Hummel is out again. Its going to take Moore and Grant being hot from the arch to win now.
  22. ENOUGH ALREADY. The bottom of the Big East is awful. They are going to have a lower percentage of teams make the tourney than the Big Ten, and possibly the ACC or Pac 10. They're still a good conference, but this talk about how deep they are, when half their teams might not make the tournament, with 1/4 of them not even belonging in major conference ball is annoying as hell. I always defer to Jay Bilas (as anyone in college hoops should do because he's awesome), who says that there's an argument to be made for which conference is the best overall, just not 1-12. Well of course not, but that's a silly way to look at it. Why does the Big East get to lop off their 4 worst teams in a comparison? If they take out four teams it should be the top two and the bottom two. That's the most fair way. But really no one should get to eliminate any teams. Your conference is your conference. I don't know if that's really fair either. The best way to compare conference to conference is to look at the entire thing. Yeah, you can't match team to team, but it's not that hard to look at the strength of a conference top to bottom without arbitrarily removing teams. I agree. I was saying if you have to remove any teams it shouldn't be only the top ones or only the bottom ones. It should be an even amount of teams from top and bottom.

  24. The word filter saves my banning. I'm flashing back to one of my college roommates who was an IU fan (attending Purdue, I don't know why). He would scream and yell and cuss... and do things like throw shoes at the TV. Really quite exciting. Indiana and Purdue are nearly completely different schools academically. You don't see why someone who was a fan of one might attend the other purely for academic purposes? A lot of people from my high school went to IU. They were all either medical or law majors.
